Indiana won it all last year without outspending everyone so it can obviously be done.

Indiana's roster last year was collectively older than the roster of the Green Bay Packers. Bunch of 24-25 year olds playing against mostly 19-22 year olds.

Indiana had 45 players that were in their mid 20s. They were the oldest team in CFB. Don’t know why you’re so up in arms because Alabama is outspent. It’s simply the truth.

What I’ve seen is Indiana spent about the same as Alabama last year but they had a bunch of 25yos

And if BAMA wins the SEC, what, it'll be despite Deboer because he's nice?

No, I think DeBoer is a smart guy and a good coach. I also think this staff is full of good evaluators.
I'm not hating on our staff.

However, yes, DeBoer's niceness has been holding us back. Year 1 he opted to go with Milroe to not upset the apple cart. We ended up losing to Vanderbilt and missing the playoffs. Wasted season when we could've gotten a portal QB.

I'm just saying, name one game in DeBoer's tenure at Alabama where we looked as dominant as Kiffin's first game at LSU?

Sometimes you see something like that and it gives you some much needed perspective.

At #15 LSU in his first season was absolute domination. Total arse whipping. Also beat #24 Missouri 34-0 that same season.

Also beat ranked teams in Vandy and Tennessee by 16 and 17 points last season.

I think it's giving a little too much credit to Kiffin based on the Clemson name on the jersey. They were 7-6 last year and look to be even worse this year. By blind resume ECU was better than Clemson last year.

Clemson is straight up arse. If Dabo were Catholic, he'd be quoting St. Lawerence's famous last words right now.

Agreed. If Clemson has a winning season at all it'll only be because the ACC was dreadful.

If they hadn’t taken the foot off the gas against Georgia in 2024, it could’ve been the greatest asskicking in the modern game. Clemson sucks so if you’re jealous of LSU, go buy a purple jersey like the rest of the bandwagoners and wear it until they get wrecked by a team with a pulse. Week 1 is never enough to judge the whole picture. Last year, the media crowned FSU national champs after Bama didn’t show up for Week 1. FSU proceeded to go 5-7. shite happens.

Already have. Have flipped weekend chores from Sunday to Saturday and now mostly watching the better professionals play on Sunday rather than the minor league professionals on Saturdays.

I will watch the Bama games. That’s about it.

Well DeBoer made the SECC game and the playoff last year. Better than Lane has ever done.

Lane is a good O coach, but even then he frequently chokes. He’s sleazy. He would be a wretched fit at Alabama. Lane Kiffin is a good fit for LSU: good promise, occasional success, many disappointments, sometimes fun, unstable, always grimy, corrupt and sleazy.

Alabama spends money but is supposedly toward the bottom of the top 10 spenders, but LSU, with their state gov’t behind them has outspent Alabama by $10-15 mil this year. That’s if you can believe most guesstimates. And everyone is guessing.

Brent Venables ended Dabo’s tenure when he left.

Lane is a perfect fit for the state where Huey Long used to be governor, and subsequent governors have channeled his way of doing business.

This. Venables may not be a head coach, but he was the sound spine of that Clemson run.

Clemson looked bad Saturday. Really bad.
