I would hate that, but couldn't blame him if he took the job.

Saban usually expects and gets a minimum of a two year commitment from assistants......but its Kiffin so who knows

Here's what Kiffin said about returning next year during the Sugar Bowl interview:

quote:

When Kiffin spoke to the media for only the second time in his tenure at Alabama before the Allstate Sugar Bowl semifinal, he was asked if he expects to be back with the Crimson Tide for the 2015-16 season. His answer?

"Yes. Definitely," Kiffin said in New Orleans. "I think that we’ve still got a lot of stuff we can continue to do better. We'll obviously be working with a new quarterback. That’ll be exciting. To me, that’s always exciting, the unknown, when you’ve got a new QB, to see if we can do this again, to see if we can perform really well."

That and five dollars will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

I can't be the only one with literally ZERO expectations of the man returning, right? No ill will, but it's Kiffin we're talking about here

Could be wrong, but I expect him back. Not surprised to see someone want him, but this could be a way for his agent to get him a needed pay bump.

Good opportunity for Kiffin. If he wants back in the NFL he should go for it. But, if he does he needs to get on it so Bama can get the ball rollin' finding a replacement.

After NSD at least!

He has been good for Bama this year. Good luck if he decides to go.

Good luck if he decides to go. We should definitely pay him handsomely to try and get him to stay though.

I think the Niners go after Chud, personally. Kiffin needs another year under Saban, with a strong organization, and then he will get some HC offers.

I wouldn't want that job. 9ers set to regress big time. Kaep is not who you want to groom.

I think they go Shanny/Chud because many 1st time HCs like to surround themselves with veteran guys/former HCs.

One quote that I've been thinking back on was during the Sugar Bowl press conference where Kiffin said it's easy going from being a head coach to an offensive coordinator under a guy who has his system figured out, like CNS. He said it would be much more difficult for him if he couldn't trust that coach's system.

I think Kiffin would be a better NFL OC under a more experienced coach. Not sure if he would work well under a first year former dline coach.
