You'd think there would be a better safety net.

If we hire Todd Grantham I’m just freakin done, and apparently it would mean Saban is too…

I agree. At least other rehab coaches were s successful in previous jobs.

Grantham would make me check out at least in terms of expectations. How do we go from Leonard, schuman, and Pruitt to Todd freaking Grantham?

Saban has almost infinite credit on trust, but if Bama promotes Joe Cox and Todd Grantham to coordinators, no one can convince me he hasn't struck out several times for these hires. He's had a good head start on both to just promote from within.

That said, I still don't think those hires happen. We're all antsy because it's been relatively quiet since the highly telegraphed coordinator departures. It kinda feels like it's gonna be at least one NFL guy at this point...

Always remember that Saban hired BoB and Golding. And publicly stated numerous times that both were doing a great job. You can make your own deductive reasoning from there.

He will not say bad things about his coaches especially when he is trying to unload them. It’s a win-win for him and the guy that is politely getting shown the door.

The fact that we have so many fans that don’t realize this is astonishing. He’s never said a bad thing about a single coach that he has employed. We all know he hated Applewhite as OC and even he didn’t get fired. He even let him come back later.

So, I’m trying to keep up and apparently missed something. Last week we were sure it was Pruitt. What happened to make everyone think it isn’t?
