I’m in Little Rock and Gov. Asa Hutchinson will be the last hold out.

They could really do a better job of classifying businesses as "essential" or non-essential. For example, my teenager is an employee of a shop that sells only cookies... they are allowed to stay open, since they are a "restaurant". That sounds like an awful idea to me. But, they are doing it anyway.

Remember when trump told everyone:

1. This was all a Hoax

2. Real but only 15 people have it and theyll be fine

3. More than 15 have it, but its just like the flu - you get it then your fine a few days later

4. It's not like the flu but warm weather will kill it and we're doing such an amazing job in response this isn't going to be a problem - I have a sense about these things, and I think this is gonna be over with very soon.

5. This is going to be a problem, and its not going to be over anytime soon. We wont even see the apex until temperatures are rising.

see the pattern here ?

So apparently there’s a fine of $500 and a misdemeanor charge if they catch you “violating” the order. But that’s definitely just to scare people. No way can they actually enforce that

LOL, my company, who is deemed "essential" by the state, gave me a note to print out and give to officers if I get pulled over.

You can still go out to exercise, get groceries, family emergencies, work, etc. The cops aren’t going to stop you and follow you to make sure you’re going to the grocery store.

No changes really. Seems like the majority of people are staying home in our area at least

Cool, so I can still go to a state park and/or go fishing if I want?

Nothing stopping me at all.

She was voted in once.

There is no way a Democrat would have been less authoritarian during this, so I'm not sure what your point is.

Yeah this is really dumb. It's becoming increasingly clear that this is mostly a problem in NYC (and a couple other major metropolitan areas, to a lesser extent), and the rest of the country is having minimal issues.

He was listening to the experts. Dr Fauci was publicly stating this was nothing to worry about at the same time Trump was shutting down travel from China. The experts have been wrong about this thing from the beginning (and are still wrong now).

Kinda hard to hear safety from a party that wants to keep our borders open..Calls him racist for closing them early and drug him through a false impeachment trial and wasted money when we knew this virus was in China. Dems have done everything they can to hurt Trump and in return it has hurt the American people too. They would rather hurt him than help us.. tells a lot about them. I was an independent. Now I’m a Black Republican!! Dems worst nightmare. but you do you buddy. You always have

Y'all really don't want to get into a timeline comparison. Here's a little taste:

Nancy Pelosi, February 24, encouraging people to congregate in Chinatown

ETA: Trump was acting on this before anyone else at any level of American government. Pelosi was handing out impeachment pens and calling Trump a racist for shutting down travel from China in January. You can hate that fact if you want, but it's still a fact.
