Hurts graduated from Bama in 2018, but he finished his football career at Oklahoma. If he wins a super bowl, does Bama claim him as their or Oklahoma?....While I'm on that, does anyone know if Bama claims Hurts pro career to recruits on the recruiting walls at Bama? On NFL.com, they list Oklahoma as his college. But he won a national championship at Bama in 2017.

If Hurts had a chance to come back and compete for either team’s starting job in August, which one do you think he’d pick?

NFL lists Oklahoma, but Hurts claims Bama when asked, wears Bama gear, says Saban like things.

Russell Wilson has Wisconsin listed by the NFL, and they always ignore that he spent 3 years at NC State.

No way he is Oklahoma. He went there as a Graduate transfer which should make it clear that he is a Bama guy. He was a mercenary there like Jamo was with us. The difference comes in when you factor in his degree, initial recruitment, his starting as a Freshman, and playing a major role on the team for three whole years.
NFL should probably list these portal guys with both their schools or ask the player how he wants to be listed.

They’re all mercenaries. They’re going to the program they believe is best for their own self interests.

College players and college programs love VERY conditionally.

If Alabama were to play Oklahoma on a neutral field and Jalen Hurts went to the game, what sideline would he hang out on?

I'd say Alabama's, primarily because Lincoln Riley is gone.

who does he claim in the player intros? I'm genuinely asking because I haven't seen many games over the past few years when the Eagles are playing.

On Sunday night football this season, he didn't say either. He said Channelview High School where he graduated from.

I'm sure he loves people and things about both universities he attended. He left Bama to do what was best for him at the time and I can't blame him for it.

Ah I see. I feel like I see him with Bama gear on more than Oklahoma. Not sure how true that is or maybe I just don't pay attention to when he wears Oklahoma stuff, but I would think it would be fair for Bama to claim him

The narrative is that Oklahoma truly developed him but I'm skeptical. He looked like the same guy in their playoff game versus LSU and was an awful passer as a rookie

Lincoln helped Hurts a little bit but having Pederson as a rookie was the big difference for him. Pederson is a true QB guru.

Why not both? Jalen gained valuable football and life experiences at both schools. Why should only one get to "claim" him?
