Anybody think him entering the portal may have had less to do with Saban retiring and more to do with Milroe?

No offense against Milroe, but we all know the receivers definitely missed out on some higher numbers this year.

May have been a bit of both? I don't know, just a thought after some whiskey.

Yes some people will think that. Some people will think it is NIL money from Texas. Some will think it is Saban retiring. Some will think he met a girl with a big booty from Shreveport and he can't just stay away from that good-good. The truth is it doesn't the matter the reason he left, he gone. Focus on the ones who want to play at Bama.

No. He didn’t enter the portal until Saban retired. He had plenty of time since the semifinal to do it if it was about Milroe.

I don’t know if it was just me… but in many of the interviews that I saw with Bond, he appeared to have a huge ego. NIL is always gonna be in play for kids with massive egos

Thats not what the guys from Locked on Bama said... not sure their sources but said other skill guys were frustrated also.

And i know for a fact the WRs were ready to kill Hurts back in the day because they got visibly angry on the field when he missed wrs running wide open.

If your draft stock depended on a qb getting you the ball would you stay and play with milroe or transfer and play with ewers at texas which is where Bond is heading. Its a no brainer.

Let’s not burn Bond at the stake. He could still exit the portal and stay at Bama if convinced by the new coaching staff.

And even if he does leave, we should always be grateful for Gravedigger. (In much the same way, we should always be grateful to Jacorey Brooks for the Iron Bowl 2021 heroics).

He could have entered the portal after the season ended, he did not. Saban left and the portal opened back up and he entered it.

Pretty self explanatory.

Can't imagine we wouldn't let him back if he changed his mind soon. But you keep up with this more than me, so...

Bond’s talents haven’t been properly utilized. I don’t necessarily blame him. He’s one of the fastest football players in the country. Basically a sawed off Jameson Williams. He’s got first round pick potential with a big year. That big year is more likely to happen with Quinn Ewers. I wouldn’t have transferred because I am a gump, but I get it for Bond.

Now, a guy like Ryan Williams would be a complete moron for not coming here. Sayin is far and away the best QB in his class. It’s really why I’m not going to be terribly distraught if he goes to the barn. Whomever we get at receiver will be able to run fast and jump high. It’s Alabama. The guy delivering the ball is a lot more important. I love John Metchie. He was a borderline dominant college receiver. That’s because he had Bryce Young throwing him the ball. John probably has 2-3 more years of playing time in the NFL and then 2-3 years of bottom of the roster duty. 3 years from now you’ll have elite junior receivers transferring to Bama to play with Sayin. It’s the nature of the sport now

No, its about pimping yourself for dollars, the very reason Saban probably left.

We don’t even know if Milroe will be the starter this year. Simpson will be given a chance to show what he can do.
