Is Nick really done if he wins out? There is chatter coming from Auburn fans that he is done if he wins out. If he doesn’t he will be there another 2 years. Thoughts?

Well, if the Auburn fans are saying it, it is a done deal. They obviously have the best sources and inside scoop.

Than that being said, it would probably be his hardest and best coaching job ever. Would be a good one to go out on, so I couldn't blame him.

Started hearing this during title runs starting around 2017. It will be true one of these years. Maybe this year, maybe not. I know for sure who doesn’t know when it will be though: Auburn fans.

No.

I think he rides it out until Julian Sayin leaves.

I wonder if he is more or less inclined to stay with thr 12 team playoff? Easier to be in tournament to win more NCs. Maybe harder to actually win them though.

You know he wants to put Smart out of striking distance for NCs. If he could bookend Kirby’s 2 NCs with 2 more of his own you know he’d love it.

He'll no. He's excited about the new playoff format. He wants to experience it.

Everything is conditional on health.

Saban's career at Alabama will end the way it began. With years of speculation on when he's leaving from fans who desperately want it to happen.

For as much as Saban talks about dealing with what is right in front of you and trusting the process, I can't believe he would be thinking about trying to go out on a NC. I guess it could happen but it goes against everything in his personality and behavior.

I think he’ll ride out when Saiyan goes to the NFL. 3-4 years.

Auburn fans are without a doubt the definitive source on Nick Saban retirement plans

I could see Saban going out on a NC victory but I also see Saban striving for that perfect season(undefeated) to finish it on.

Also next season Saban should go over 300 wins and only what 3 seasons from passing Bear. So I see him here for at least 3 more seasons. Just a guess.

Coach Saban seems to be enjoying what he does as much as ever right now. I don’t think he will be done yet.

With the OL, WR's, ILB, and QB situation next year I have to imagine Bama will be preseason No.1 and odds favorite to win it all.

No way he walks away with another trophy on the table.

I think he coaches at least until the home and home with West Virginia in 26/27. I think he scheduled it purposefully so he could coach in his home state toward the end of his career.

If Bama wins it all I imagine they'll be #1 but it Texas wins it all they'll be #1.

I think Saban is sitting at 206 (that's with the 5 games taken away from him) wins at Alabama; Bryant was 232. That's just 26 wins away. If Saban stays another 2 or maybe 3 years; he will bypass Bryant on wins.

If he stays another 3 years assuming 10 wins each season he will pass Bear who currently has 323 total and would be 3rd all time for division I wins only behind Paterno and Bowden.

My guess is 3 years to be the pass Bear both at Alabama and nationally it would give him.
