I like that the game isnt at home for them. Should even things out a bit. Also warmer.

I agree with Bham4. They will not play down to Alabama like they did Penn St. They will come to play like they did against Oregon and Ohio St. Alabama will be fortunate to come out with a win in this one, but it has happened a couple of times already this year for us so we got a shot.

I'd rather play Indiana than OSU or UGA. It's just a bunch of well-coached 3 stars. The other two are well-coached 4 and 5 stars.

Fan fiction… in year fricking two, we went on the hardest run in the country, beat our rivals, went to the SEC CG and THEN went on the road and beat a team that beat us two times in a row in the playoffs. Whatever happens in this game, which I think we win, is absolute gravy…

100%. This is year 2 and we have outperformed Year 1 and even overcame some demons of the past. Has it been pretty? No and there are lots of things to be upset about but OC but overall the team is heading in the right direction. #1 class in incoming a things look bright for the tide.

This is the kind of game that DeBoer is usually at his best. Don't discount how important Daley was to Indiana's defense this season. They will miss him.

I think we have a decent shot if we stop wasting first down on offense.

I watched their games against Penn St and Ohio St...good team, not unbeatable.

Every remaining team is good. I like our bracket. Ohio St and Georgia will eliminate one or the other before the NC game...and just talent wise, those 2 are the most comparable to Bama. Obviously recruiting stars don't win games though.

Indiana...Oregon...Ohio St/Georgia is by no means an easy path. I'm not sold on TX Tech...think Oregon takes them.

Last thing I want to see is an Indiana/Ohio St NC game rematch with Ohio St winning.

I think we win...if we don't beat ourselves. Indiana really has only faced Ohio State...a very stress free schedule against weak teams. We may be sloppy, but we don't quit. Other than the UGA game, we can get explosive. I think we were injured and sleep walking through seccg.

IF we show up ready to play from the beginning, we win easily. We won't come back from 17 down against Indiana.

I still cannot for the life of me understand Ohio State’s play calling against Indiana.

3rd and 1, twice inside the 10. They’re winning at the LOS, and they pass.

Repeatedly they have Smith against a short corner man to man. With a 7-10 yard cushion. I’m checking out of the play and throw it to Smith. He’s getting at least 5 yards, more if he beats the tackle. Heck lob it up and let Smith just reach up and get it.

OSU rushing for 2.2 ypc probably had something to do with it.

I think they maybe don't trust Sayin to not turn the ball over? Idk. I agree, when you have a weapon like Smith, get it to him. But I cant recall if IU was doing anything fancy to contain Smith. Probably were.

I mean does Indiana really have a better defense than UGA or OU? We have faced good defenses all year in Mizzo and Auburn

In my opinion their defense is not better than UGA or Oklahoma. Their total defense I think is 5 or 6 but with a generally weak schedule. No doubt they are well coached and good but how good I’m not sure.

LSU had a really talented and disruptive defense.

Yeah - I was going to edit my post to include LSU

The point being is Bama has run a tough gauntlet of top tier defenses all year. We have faced off against the better defenses in college football. I think Indiana is legit but I just can't imagine they are tougher than what we have already faced and had success against.....they are also missing their most disruptive player.

The 4th and 1 they’d have gotten 3 yards on a sneak if Sayin doesn’t stumble.

Look at the whole 2nd half. Ohio State scored no points despite having it inside the 5 twice. Ohio State controlled the entire half. Indiana had 3 possessions, total in the 2nd half.

When you’re bigger and stronger you lean on tired defenses.

Who has IU played outside of OSU(solid team) and Oregon? Do you wonder how these stats may affect their rankings on defense when the rest of their schedule was garbage. Also when has Oregon been explosive this season? UT and Vandy are more explosive on offense.

Oregon is ranked behind Vandy and Tennessee who we kept below 50% of their season average in points per game.

Total yards per game: Oregon 11, OSU 24
Passing yards per game: Oregon 44, OSU 25
Rushing yards per game: Oregon 13, OSU 64

Tennessee and Vandy both were more explosive then either of those two based on the numbers. Mizzou had a better rushing offense than either of those two and we shut that down.

I am not saying IU is not a good team but what makes them good is they make few mistakes and capitalize on other teams' mistakes. They are the best disciplined team in the country. Sort of an old school Saban team during the early years when we won 3 of our 1st 4 NCs. For our team this year that is where the concern is we play very undisciplined and make mistakes that have kept teams in the game.
