The ability to run the ball when needed. I don't expect us to lean on the ground game to crush opponents. What I do expect is for us to demonstrate to ability to get 3 yards on the ground whenever we want.

I want to see the offensive line give the QB (whoever it is) enough time to eat a sandwich back there when we pass and to get a minimum of 200 yards of rushing.
On defense, I want to see consistent effort, swarming to the ball. No arm tackling. No jogging to the play like we saw vs FSU last year. I want to see our DBs absolutely lay the wood on their receivers and RBs.

I’m hoping that the defense surrendering the fewest yards in the conference again will finally put an end to the perception amongst fans who are under the mistaken impression that the defense takes a “bend but don’t break” approach….

12-15 or more pass attempts of 25+ yards, and hopefully run under 4-5 of them.
This will be the biggest indicator of how the offense will perform the rest of the season.

You believe the defense can surrender the fewest yards and points (top 2 at worst) in the conference again like the past two seasons combined, while forcing the most turnovers as well?
That’s a lot to ask
I’m right there with you and think it’s possible too…the vastly improved personnel across the DL that (more importantly) fits the scheme will certainly give them a chance to continue to outperform Kirby’s defense for the 3rd consecutive season.

How would you rate the LB play these past two seasons?
