I have no doubt we will.

That's why I have to keep believing we're going to find a way back in.

It'll be hard, but it isn't impossible. Just need Auburn to get the ball rolling at home vs Georgia.

Pete, I am a professional writer, was an English Major (with emphasis in Creative Writing), and I diagram sentences and read etymology books for fun. I use the commas in the correct places. But, thanks, gracias, grazie, and merci beaucoup for expressing your grammatical concern- however unfounded it is. I'll give you this, though- that's the first time I've ever encountered such a protest on the internet. It's somewhat odd, but you do you, bro.

Pete, your knowledge of the defense may be impressive, but it's fairly obvious that you're inept at teaching your players the same knowledge- or even just basic knowledge such as how many people can be on the field at the same time during a football game- and skill and technique and application.

Rather than defend yourself on this message forum, Pete, you probably need to be working on MSU and figuring out how you're going to defend your ineptitude to Coach Saban at the end of the season (which, thanks to you, probably ends earlier than that to which we are accustomed).

Pete, did you see my correct usage of the Oxford comma and that I didn't end that last sentence with a preposition?

Yes, I thought it was a bad spot too. I was in stadium with a poor view of replay. It appeared they got it wrong from my vantage point. Was Slade not on top of the defender?

Yes he was. If they had called it a first down on the play then the play would have stood. There was literally no way to over turn that call.

We can compete and beat any team in the country. So I’m not saying we would certainly lose to LSU if we played them again in the playoff. However, they are a damn good team and if we played them 10 times, I’m not so sure we would win 5 of them.

This stuff is wishful thinking. We could beat LSU if we played again, yes, but saying "we would" as if that game was some sort of absurd anomaly is just being a red assed, overconfident Bammer.

Sorry, but when LSU needed to score in the 4th quarter they did it 3 straight times with almost zero resistance. And that first half with all the mistakes? The idea that we wouldn't throw out some version of that again is just whistlin' past the graveyard. Bad penalties? Blown coverages? A few offensive mistakes? That's us in 2019. Again, it's not 2012 anymore. We've been doing most of the things we did against LSU all year, and stupid stuff like that is magnified against a really good team.

I'll throw a different look at you. The offense had as much to do with it as the defense did. It produced all of 7 points in the first half and 2 terrible turnovers.

The game was given away in the second quarter. I would hope we would not play that badly in a rematch.

I understand a coach can jump up and down all the time but on Saturday after the defense came off field (you pick the qtr) but Nick should have walked over to their meeting and put the fear of God in them. Tackle like you intend to stop the guy in his tracks instead of all the fuking grabbing. Why spend all the time in the weight room.

I mean yea, I agree, the offense lost the game. This game was going to be won or lost based on who made the most of their yards and possessions points wise, and we didn't. The expectations for the defense were pretty low, and they delivered a scoreless quarter. They pretty much negated that with the 4th, but overall they played pretty close to what I expected. The offense shite themselves for almost a full half, and that is why we lost.

I mean yea, I hope not too, but this idea that we just automatically won't is asinine. Some people can't get it through their head that LSU might just be a better football team than us, or at the very least a team that wins 5/10 or 6/10.

The notion that LSU won their 1 or 2 games out of 10 is just absolutely ridiculous. As Fairhope said above, this game was not Ole Miss in 2015. It was not some giant arse fluke.

The dog shite defense is due to true freshmen, transfers, and injuries.

The true freshmen, transfers, and injuries are part of the problem but there were several no-shows Saturday by experienced players (2, 5, 7, 21, and 99 come to mind) who should be leading by example but are not. 24 also ran right by a few plays that could have been made in LSU's backfield that turned into big plays or gained first downs. IMHO, this Bama defense's biggest problems are lack of leadership and poor coaching.

The things listed are part of the game. I do not think LSU is a great team but they took advantages of our mistakes and earned the victory.

I think we have a chance to make it and if we get a chance to play LSU I like our chances. They are a very good team but not great. Considering all the mistakes made(including them forcing some of those) not all self inflicted, we were within 1 possession to win the game. We showed strong in the end with 2nd half adjustments. I doubt anyone in the committee is convinced LSU is that much better then us.

But the rest of our schedule, the Bama fatigue, and the possible matchup of us in the Sugar Bowl vs OU(Hurts vs Tua), I feel we are going to need a lot of help. Again we are a top 4 team and no one can argue that, but I do not see us as the best team right now in the country.

That sure is a long list. This should have been at least a 14 pt win for LSU

Whatever helps you justify the L, I guess.

The game in 2011 I believe we knew and most LSU fans knew Bama was the better team. This year not the same case. Bama did a great job fighting back second half but I believe LsUbis just the better team this year. We have no other ranked wins and if we do it will be against a two loss Auburn team. By the way I don’t think the Auburn game is a gimme win either. Having said all that this will be the first year Bama wasn’t in the playoffs and first time in 4 straight years they didn’t play in a national title game. It’s gonna be ok.

At this time I just want a big name in a NYD bowl game and a absolute beat down ala Bama vs Mich State 2011. Hopefully we return some of these guys at least one of the WR to go along with Waddle and if some of these juniors decide they want to come back this team could be really special next year.

I don't think LSU was the better team. If both teams had played a mistake free game. I believe Bama would have won that game at around 10 points.

I think the Bama players know that too.
