I never knew how intense the hate is from our LSU brethren.

I get that they would hate us with their former coach leading us to a dynasty unrivaled in college football history. I get that they would despise us for dominating their best team ever for a title and the 7 in a row has to cut deep. What I have learned though is that their level of envy and hatred has really reached unhealthy levels at least within the online fan base on social media. I used to hate them right back but I am starting to pity them.

The off-season on the rant is a months long Bama troll it seems. They tell us that we take football too seriously but Damn it if they aren't worse than we are. I think I may hang out here all off-season because it is gonna get old reading about how much we cheat and how I frick my sister.

For long time members, have those retards always been this bad? I wonder if the rest of that state feels like these guys do.

I once told a story about attending the Men's Pancake Breakfast on Christmas Eve at my church. An SEC official was the speaker that year. He told some really good stories and had very nice things to say about Les Miles. I said I found some new respect for the guy after that day. I was told "STFU, GTFO Gump, I'm sure it was a shithole church, etc ".

That was when I realized LSU fans are a "special" breed.

Don’t even go to the Poli board. It’s the Bryce Hospital of TigerDroppings.

They are worse this week. Consider:

Bama won the title.
A kid from LA caught the game winner.
LSU lost at home to Bama in hoops - with a controversial call late in the game.
The Saints choked their way out of the playoffs.

You'd think they would give up in sports.

Then again, they hired Orgeron as their head coach and just replaced Canada with Ensminger so maybe they have.

Yeah it’s been at an all time high here lately. Pity is a good word, they keep posting LF numbers in the playoffs and calling us stupid but they are really hurting inside. I think it boils down to Saban and he is our coach and could have likely done something similar at LSU.

What an epic fail of a hire.

Not to totally divert the thread, but do you really think he would have had the same success at LSU as at Bama?

I wonder. While LSU is loaded with talent and he locked down the state, pretty much, before leaving. Would he have had the same success at LSU? ( I think he would have been successful, but not like he has been at Bama) Bama is truly a different breed. Every coach since Bear has won at least 10 games in a given year. We have had our share of failures, but I wonder if Saban would have been as dominant at LSU like he has been at Bama. IDK, thoughts to ponder on a Monday morning.

I think something similar, at least a few national championships where they have 0 now since his last.

I usually try to sidestep some of their comments, but the venom online from them has gotten crazy. These last few years have intensified it by ×100, especially on TD they start a daily thread about any and everything comparisons "If" Bama did this or that.

The comments have always been as bad. It’s just the attitude behind them that has changed. It’s slowly gone from arrogance to anger to self-loathing rage.

I haven't been here too long (found this site early in the 2016 season), but when I was new I would get triggered by LSU fans. Now I realize 80% are trolls, and the other 20% are good, normal people. I accept that when I make a post about either Alabama or LSU it is going to be responded with "hurr durr stupid gump" or "redneck trash" (not a thing redneck about me). Normally I can stay calm with it, but if I'm trying to have a serious conversation about football and the only replies are trash like that.. ugh. It really feels like a forum designed for teenagers at that point. Sad, angry teenagers.

I do notice though they probably have the most self-policing of any of the fan bases. They're quick to tell the stupid ones they are indeed stupid, sometimes.

I like the obsession with refs and the SEC office being in Birmingham. I bet most Alabama fans outside of Bham have no idea where it is located and would guess Atlanta.

A relative of mine, an older LSU graduate, told me about a recent list of things to do or something like that, which is given to all incoming freshmen, and one item on the list said, and I paraphrase, to hate Alabama.
Certainly it was done in jest, and perhaps we have something similar in reference to Auburn, but it just goes to show the level of disdain that LSU has for Bama.

Does it make it worse for them that we don't reciprocate?

This is not new. They have always hated Alabama. I grew up here they could not except the fact that someone did not live in Alabama even have a young boy would be in Alabama. They have always hated domination of Alabama it's just more mobile now that we have social media and the Internet. They can say whatever they want when you have a anonymity of the Internet.

Trust me, it is the furthest thing from disdain.
