Recall the days leading up to 1/9/12. LSU had beaten Alabama twice in a row (in'10 and'11) and they were playing the game in a "virtual" home stadium in New Orleans. Sure, there were the bitchers about the "mulligan", etc., but I fully believe that LSU fans had full confidence in that game, not to mention that they were going to make it "4 in a row" with a win on 1/9/12, plus the home game between LSU and Bama later that calendar year. They were poised to win their 3rd national championship (all the games being in New Orleans)in a matter of 9 seasons. They were going to supplant Bama as the kings of college football.
Then 21-0 happened. Then TJ Yeldon's screen pass happened, and it's been downhill ever since.

They are indeed a "special breed". Experienced them at 10 yrs old in baton rouge at the '87 Bama/LSU football game. Also dealt with them periodically over the years. As a group their the worst by far I've ever seen, with some good individuals as with every fan base. they were melting over Collin sexton the other night and it's great because they're such phony hypocrites. Whining about " my child saw him say f*ck y'all to the student section. Lol this from a fanbase that teaches their children to give the one finger salute to adult fans of other schools.

I have some LSU friends that have completely lost it.
Found out recently they had been declining all invites to my house in recent years because I have the 21-0 scorecard framed and hanging on the wall in my football room. Not even kidding.

Yeah, much of that is them not understanding that we just don't have the same amount of hate directed back at them. They're a good rival game, but only because they gave Bama some struggles before Bama went on the tear as of late.
I mean Auburn will always be #1. Tennessee is #2. I hate those two programs. I look forward to a great game with LSU, but there is zero hate there.
Like the OP said, the posters here kinda use to grate me a bit, but lately I just pity them.

Tennessee I almost pity , but due to Fulmer it's kind of hard. But with LSU it's become more of a pity thing now I think.

Auburn fans don't even have the level of vitriol and hate towards Bama that LSU fans have now.....Their anger towards Bama is only matched by their loathing of Aleva, F King, and Ogereon.

We have a good rivalry with Auburn but no doubt that LSU fans hate us much, much more than Auburn does. Not even close.

Just thinking to myself, the hire of O and the 7for49 deal are the two biggest head scrachers I have seen as far as the sec is concerned.
They both are trying to take themselves out of any chance to make it to Atlanta.
