Who's Bama's QB again?

quote:

, but especially at a team as loaded as Clemson.

Anyone who's remotely informed about both teams knows Clemson has MANY more question marks than Bama does as of this moment. Clemson lost their top 5 defensive lineman, 6 of their front 7 (and top Dline backup), and one ILB starter just transferred to Maryland - and their LB depth chart is a joke compared to ours, and ours is a weakness (at ILB). Clemson's defense will take a large step backwards from last year, and it's much worse than us losing our entire starting Nickle the year before. Both of their starting defensive tackles were out of spring with injuries, and the second string looked like our scout team - watch their spring game, please. And they need NCAA waivers for their starting LT and Tight End to even be eligible. And throw in Boz's info about a potential toxic locker room, and I'm doubting Clemson right now.

Ya'll can keep sucking their dick's, but I'll give clemson 9.5 points on a neutral site and bet confidently. We'd (and we're likely gonna) frick Clemson's world up in a 2019 matchup.

That target won't be off our back while Saban is here.

We'll do it in a different way. We've never had a receiving corps like we do now. Very few teams in the history of the sport have, if any. We're gonna make their asses quit in a different way. It won't be run for 4 yards every play until they give up, we'll dominate through the air. No secondary in the country can contain us. We reasonably will have a better recieving corps than a few NFL teams.

The only thing stopping us next year is Tua getting injured again.

Well if you want to look at position battles the interior of the OL is a work in progress with a number of possible candidates. If we can't run the ball better we are going to struggle against good teams.

And ILB obviously, We need settled starters and quality backups there.

Holy shite. Some of you are acting like Clemson is the Boogeyman, Krampus and Satan himself all rolled into one.

They won't be nearly as good this year as they were last year. fricking relax.

Maybe...but as of right now, I'd much rather face him than Deshaun Watson again...Watson torched us twice against two of our better defenses...

I agree. Unfortunately, they basically have all season to experiment and get things figured out. Outside of playing Texas A&M during week 2, the only other ranked opponent they have left on the schedule is Syracuse.

That is interesting because Finebum says football is fun at Clemson. At Alabama, its more like professional football, and its just not fun. Finebum is nothing but a UT Vile.

We really gonna spend the entire football season thinking about a possible January game with Clemson?

If so, this season is gonna suck, JMHO

Have you seen our schedule?

Dude, the SEC West is legit this year. Our schedule isn't nearly as bad as people think, and after adding the SEC Championship game, we'll likely have the best Strength of Schedule of any playoff team - just like last year.

It's En Vogue to shite on Alabama. Don't fall for it.

Trevor Lawrence might be the overall best QB of at least the last two decades jury is still way out on that. kid benefited from an easy schedule and a down year for bama defense. plus his o line was great at keeping the pressure off. there are any number of qb's that would shine just as brightly given those circumstances. lets see where hes at in a couple years. he may very well end up being a world beater or he could just be another slightly above avg qb. time will tell.

I can’t remember who said it, but someone on FoxSports hit the nail on the head as far as I’m concerned. Trevor Lawrence is the real deal, no question.

The guy on FoxSports said the NFL receives legendary QBs in Groups of 4.

We had Joe Montana, John Elway, Dan Marino, and Brett Favre.

The previous era that’s wrapping up now is Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning.

The Next Big 4 will come down to 5 guys. Patrick Mahomes & Trevor Lawrence are locks.

The last 2 spots will be taken by 2 of these 3 guys: Andrew Luck, Tua Tagovailoa, and Carson Wentz

Alabama's schedule this year:

@ Texas A&M
VS. LSU
VS. UGA SEC title game
CFP Game #1
National Championship

I very well may golf/go to the beach the rest of the schedule.

I don't know which Fox Sports analyst said this, but holy cow, that an awful lot of stupid in a handful of words.

Wtf? Putting a true freshman over a multiple time pro bowler like Luck? I’m convinced these guys say the dumbest shite to get attention.

Sunshine is good but you’re overblowing this because of one game. He’s not the first QB to have the best game of his career against us. By that standard Trevor Knight, Stephen Garcia, and Bo Wallace should be in the conversation as best QB ever too.

Nick Saban plans to use backup QB the same as last two years (BamaOnLine)

My hope is that we redevelop the old toughness in the running game. There is nothing more devastating than true balance. I was quite surprised at how ineffective we were a times on the ground last year.

It was always assumed that if Bama ever had an first round caliber QB in combination with their overpowering run game, it would be a hopeless situation for defenses. Instead, we got soft.
