Any controversy brewing that we can argue with each other about? I can't think of a position battle to get worked up over so help a guy out. Any assistant coach any of you particularly worried about?

It sure as shite won’t be with Najee.

He’s overrated and not the right guy for the job.

I do think he’s overrated but he’s still plenty talented enough. I’d say it’s the defense as much the offense that has to go back making teams quit.

I completely disagree. I thought the more touches he got, he started developing a good rhythm and churn out tough yards. He and Robinson will be a fun combo.

Yep, give me those two with a little Trey Sanders and that should be one of the better backfields in the country in 2019.

I think my biggest question is whether our team, assuming they bring their A game, can beat Clemson playing at their best. I know we’ve played some great QBs over the years (Tebow, Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel, Deshaun Watson, etc) but Trevor Lawrence might be the overall best QB of at least the last two decades. That’s tough to beat anywhere, but especially at a team as loaded as Clemson.

We really gonna spend the entire football season thinking about a possible January game with Clemson?

If so, this season is gonna suck, JMHO

Well it’s July, so until we have an actual game to talk about there’s no harm in discussing the single largest obstacle to winning a championship.

jury is still way out on that. kid benefited from an easy schedule and a down year for bama defense. plus his o line was great at keeping the pressure off. there are any number of qb's that would shine just as brightly given those circumstances. lets see where hes at in a couple years. he may very well end up being a world beater or he could just be another slightly above avg qb. time will tell.

Lawrence - and Clemson for that matter - have gotten to listen to everyone tell them how amazing they are every day since January. "They beat Bama 44-16, they're on Bama's level, Saban and Alabama are declining etc.." Let's see how they respond with the target on their back and all the praise and glory being showered on them

It will definitely be nice not to have the target squarely on our back.

That’s a big might. As of right now, he’s not better than any of those guys. Hell all of them played just as well if not better than TL did against us, and a lot of them had a worse supporting cast.

Bruh pass me some of that you're smoking! That's some mighty powerful ish! If Lawrence can get to Deshaun Watson's level he'll be doing something. I'm calling it right now Lawrence most likely won't get to the level of those guys save Manziel. Hell, if Lawrence can get to Russell Wilson's level in college he'd be doing something. Maybe it's my age. I need to see more before I agree with these "anointed prospects." Right now, I don't see Lawrence nowhere near the level of some of the guys you mentioned.
