Bottom line... Ugly got worse in most all categories.

This hurts me to read. Deboer ain't it.

He may not be it long term, but he’s going to be it for at least 2 more years.

It sucks to not know if he will ever be good enough and just needs more time, or if he’s just not capable. Hopefully we figure it out in the next two seasons. I can’t see him being gone before the end of the 2027 season.

If next year looks anything like this year or last year (barely winning when we do, often looking like football is a new sport to half the team when we don't) I really don't think we need to see a 4th.

The majority of the board apparently want a true sophomore 1st time starter at QB next year. Next year may be worse

These aren’t opponent adjusted metrics…..

Giving us PPG doesn’t do anything when you’re considering a significantly tougher schedule than prior year and a different approach on offense (e.g. ball control). Points per drive, yards per play, would be better angles comparing YoY offensive performance if you’re not using something like FEI.

This article is pretty weak. We know the offensive improved through the air, run game cratered. We know the defense played significantly better on the run. Etc.

We didn’t look worse than last year in any form than the run game

It's apt to happen at this juncture.

Which would be fine if people on the board understood we aren’t OSU and don’t play in the B10 where a true sophomore like Julian Sayin can play poorly against all the decent competition he faced and still be a Heisman finalist.

Against a 9 game SEC schedule, starting a true sophomore means likely missing a 12 team playoff (or at best an early exit). Texas started a true JR last year and went 9-3 and missed with a lot more expensive roster. UGA started a redshirt JR and still had the early exit with a 1st time starter similar to us.

(Note: our schedule next year is actually pretty favorable all things considered, so I’d bet on the making it but early exit).

I don’t understand what common sense bama fan downvoted these stats?

“Overall, the Tide's 3.4 yards per rush in 2025 were the worst since 1998 and third-worst since 1969.”

Umm… basically we were terrible in all aspects of football.

The difference between Alabama the last couple of year and playing at a championship level is a "fine line". I will read that as him saying he did not have a fine offensive line.

We looked worse offensively the last 3 games, looked bad the 1st game (which is an inexcusable loss), looked bad offensively the 1st ok game.

Our worse loss in Bowl history was our last game. History, not just last year.

You can ignore that I was just rambling.

My actual serious question/s is do you think Deboer is the man for the job? And why?

I don’t care if we win games by 1 point or 100 points. Just win the damn game.

The blowout losses are hot garbage though. In every instance.

As is the overall inconsistency through two seasons.

FIFY. He won't be here 2 more years without something to show for this next season.

We fixed the constant penalties, I'll give them that. That's been a glaring issue that's made me want to tear my hair out for the last 4 years now.

Eh, frick all that. Just tell me, individually, who got better as a player form last year to this year or even from the beginning of the year until the end

I wouldn't give Deboer ANY contract extensions and encourage him to be looking for a better deal else where.

The schedule is easier next year. That will help for one thing.

Interesting the defense also got worse comparing 2024 to 2025.

Maybe but we don’t know how other teams will really look nor do we even know what our starting roster will look like. In two seasons with KDB, one thing is sure and it’s that no Power 5 game is really easy.
