We have a group of defensive coaches entering the prime of their careers. We don't need a washed up failed head coach in the NCAA doghouse to save us on that side of the ball.

Agreed, provided that Wommack ditches the 3-man front with 20' gaps.

I dunno about that. Even people in Vancouver make fun of Portland. And there are a ton of conservatives in the rural parts of Clark County. Like Battle Ground.

To be properly raised a boy needs a sheriff and his wife not a sheriff and his deputy, it is against the laws of god.

Sark is a good selling point to Grubb's wifey. After being fired in the NFL he came to Bama and became a hot commodity on the coaching market and landed the HC at Texas.Grubb wanted to be HC at Washington. Do a good job at Bama and mama can pick her to ticket to a liberal college town.

Yeah, I was just kidding. BG really seems like the anti-Portland. Or did, at least. Haven't been in metro Portland in a while.

Well, that's coincidental.

quote: i still think we should hire him in some capacity and dare the NCAA to try to do something about it. Every team is openly doing what he did now, hes gotta get penalized 10 years for doing it a few seasons early? That penis-headed bastard is a moron in all things except crafting a damn fine defense I mean, at this point, all you have to do is just say you will take them to court and they issue a new rule saying whatever it is you want to do is actually fine. If Saban was still around and scraping the bottle of the barrel for DCs I'd 100% be clamoring for that.

Bingo! Hell, they just rolled over on a ridiculous ruling that Juco doesn’t count towards your eligibility. They would probably win that on appeal with little effort but instead they propose a rule that every person in every sport get 5 years of eligibility, no more redshirts. The NCAA is a toothless tiger now trying to cling to some semblance of power and failing miserably. I don’t understand what is keeping the Power 4 conferences from leaving them.

Absolutely.

Grubb definitely has more to offer than Sheridan, and he and DeBoer worked well together.

I know Sheridan was dealing with Jillroe, but he was clearly in over his head. I still have no idea what his M.O. was

Does this mean the OL coach is also available ?
