I don't know if Grubb's wife had a problem with Alabama
But if she did.... 5 of the top 5 States people are moving to in the US are in the southeast and Alabama is 16th which is not bad considering we have a state income tax, no cities in the top 50 and no particular tax benefits for the wealthy. In addition I have multiple friends who chose Alabama as a retirement spot after living all over the world even though they had no family here so if she couldn't stand the south it's because she never came here and gave it a chance. Many people's view of the south comes from watching old mayberry episodes, (which were shot in California by the way) and if she happened to be super liberal or something. I WISH there were no liberals here but they are everywhere. So cultural and political diversity are alive and well in Alabama. Aaaand if she's so offended by "trailers". Well people don't choose to live in those because they have an affinity for aluminum. They live in them because they can afford it. What would she have us do with them if they outlawed trailers? You're really going to throw Grandma out on the street?

The last time Auburn took a coach from the NFL and gave him a coordinator position, it was BVG...and it went terribly.
Not that Grubb would be bad or anything.

We did hire him last year. He then got an NFL OC job with a well respected young head coach with a great organization that also happened to be in the same city his family had been in for 2 years. It was a no brainer move for him at the time.
Exactly. It was Seattle that offered. I doubt he would have left us if the Chicago bears offered.

I seem to have upset some people but all Grubb's wife demands is that we remove Kay Ivey from the governors office and install Xi Jinping as our permanent head of government.

If we are going by traits and I most certainly am, I think she wants Louis Farrakhan as the replacement.

No, it comes from looking at politics, education, and poverty.
I love Alabama, but, if I'd been born somewhere else, I doubt I'd be chomping at the bit to move here either.
That said, I'm sure he and his wife didn't want to uproot their family again, but the wife vetoeing Alabama is probably overblown message board fodder.

Mayberry is a liberal wasteland. Gun control. Homelessness, criminals released from prison by lacks officials, single parent households. Disgusting really.

I think people underrate the conservative values of Xi's leadership. He believes in protectionist domestic economic practices. He told the kids to stop playing so many video games and did something about it. He blocked all the smut on the internet. He'd fit in great here as long as we the people embrace Capitalism With Chinese Characteristics. Furthermore, he will garuantee a marked improvement of our offensive brain trust on the football team at The University of Alabama. What's not to like?

Exactly. Dude has lived in bumble frick towns across Michigan and South Dakota that make Starkville look like London. He'd likely be leaving Tuscaloosa for an NFL program today had Seattle gone with someone else last year.
