This is all assuming we beat Georgia, which is far from given. But I feel a lot better about our chances than a few weeks ago.

Big 10 champ is obviously getting in. Washington or Oregon is most likely in as PAC 12 champ. Leaves us, FSU, and Texas for two spots.

We get in over one loss FSU but I don’t see any way over a one loss Texas. Only three weeks left and neither Texas or FSU have much left on their schedules. We need 2011 Oklahoma St vibes

You gonna have to rely on Louisville and an unlikely Red River Rematch on those.

Big 12 being left out is probably our best hope.

That said if we beat an undefeated UGA I don’t see how we get left out.

If no one loses in front of us, minus Ga, we don't go to the playoffs.

Uga is getting really good on offense, and their defense is solid...it will be a tough out...

Gotta watch out for the boogers and the vudu in the shite stadium first

I think we’d get in over either of these teams if they have 1 loss.

They havent had anyone to put pressure on Beck. Bowers is a touch cover for anyone. Georgia hasnt really faced anyone that can go toe to toe with then talent wise. Will be interesting to see how they fare. We certainly have had our share of adversity and think that will help us when it gets tough

The season ending with three undefeated teams and the committee choosing between us and a one loss Texas is the nightmare scenario.

We'll definitely have the better resume than Texas if we win out and we've definitely looked better than they have recently. But they have the head to head. Committee will have a difficult decision.

If it comes down to a 1 loss sec champ and Florida state the committee will have to look at resumes and there’s no way you leave a 1 loss Bama sec champion out of playoffs after beating an undefeated Georgia team.

Yeah, all the talk about definitely this or absolutely that is nonsense. The committee may weigh the h2h more, or it may weigh all the other variables (SoS, how teams look now). Ultimately their purpose is to select the "4 best teams in CFB" and how they do that is completely up to them.

We clearly are very improved and are a much better team than the one that narrowly lost to Texas. Certainly a playoff quality team. However, it would be wild to not consider a h2h win (away at that) as an important variable.

They're not going to put us in over an undefeated Florida State

We embarrassed them when they left us out last season. They don't want that to happen again. If we win out, we're in.

Yes, but.

We matchup really well with pro-style offenses. We have some meat in the middle, speed on the edges, and a bunch of LBs who can run sideline to sideline. I think Malachi will draw Bowers. Our corners should be able to old up on an island too.

On offense, I think we can score with UGA, but the oline has to hold up. And you know they will have a plan to confuse Proctor. If we can give our WRs a second to get separation, at the very least Milroe should have some lanes to pick up yardage. Smart has always been susceptible to QBs taking off.

Texas just beat TCU by 3. Anyone can see Bama has progressed while Texas has regressed. Leaving an 11-1 Bama team out of the playoffs if they do beat a top 3 Georgia team would be an injustice to the job these kids and coaches have done. Alabam has a much better resume than Texas and Florida state BUT if Fla State is undefeated I get it.

We get in over a 1 loss pac 12 champ. Even Oregon winning out.

I know Oregon is ahead now and the decision would be incredibly tough for the committee but Bama beating no. 1 Georgia is better than beating no. 4/5 Washington.

Someone has to get left out so It comes down to which team can you NOT leave out? You can’t leave out a 12-1 Bama in that scenario.

Texas dropping one more is the safest bet, though.

We’re all annoyed by the lack of upsets down the stretch but think of it this way…having so many contenders across the P5 conferences keeps Georgia out if we beat them. Having to beat those guys twice is not ideal.

If there were more contenders like this year back in the 21 season then Bryce Young and Alabama would have won the National Title. Having to beat an equally matched team twice is a tough ask.

Even with few games left I feel like someone is itching to drop one. Louisville is a tough team, OSU dropped one today but can be dangerous. Will be interesting. The little playoff prediction thing keeps saying we get in over Texas and Oregon percent wise.

FSU is a paper tiger. They just don't pass the eye test to be a top four team. It's clear as day everytime you watch them.

Georgia has just been so dominant the past 2 years and I think a win at the end of the year over them would trump an early season stumble vs Texas. It's probably the only matchup that could boost Bama over Texas with a win...but the opportunity is there if we win out. Lay an egg vs au and we're reduced to playing spoiler in the SECCG.
