1. Georgia
2. Michigan
3. Washington
4. Oregon
5. Florida State
6. Ohio State
7. Texas
8. Alabama

If she's right then the committee will show they are willing to put a 1-loss team in over an undefeated ACC champion.

How they decide to treat Florida State is the biggest wildcard of the whole thing (if it does becomes the Bama/Texas/Oregon cluster).

The Oregon love is just incredible.

EDIT - I think the committee will keep FSU above Oregon.

The media has been desperate for a West Coast team to make CFB relevant in that part of the country again for a very long time. Any time USC or Oregon has a team that looks like it's capable of making some noise the hype machine gets turned way up. That arse kicking of Colorado before everyone realized Deion is a fraud carried them for a long time too. Now their lack of quality wins is just being conveniently ignored.

What annoys me more than anything is now there are certain media members saying you can’t leave out a 12-1 Georgia if they lose to Bama no matter what…

Insanity.

The two previous seasons and their winning streak should have zero impact on this season. If Michigan losing to Iowa puts them out then the same should happen with Georgia(assuming there isn’t chaos).

So, If Bama scheduled Marshall instead of Texas and we’re 12-0 suddenly we’d get a mulligan in ATL too? You get zero credit for playing tough non conf games if you lose it. You’re better off scheduling all cupcakes. Only record matters.

Also everyone says Texas has the best win in CFB so they’re in at 12-1 yet in the same breath Alabama isn’t elite…so which is it? Why is that win so impressive for Texas if this is a “down” Alabama team?

No matter how bad I want it, unbeaten FSU being left out would be kinda horseshite. Even though the ACC is one Florida State away from being the American

I disagree. The ACC as a football league is barely a P5 conference. They are a glorified UCF team from 2017. Sure, they have 2 SEC teams on their schedule but outside of that they play the likes of Pitt, Duke, Syracuse and Wake Forest on a weekly basis.

Is FSU one of the best 4 teams in the country without Travis? No, not even close. It's not fair, but if the goal is to put the 4 best teams in the playoff FSU should effectively be eliminated at this point.

IMO that is not the goal of the committee though. Otherwise there is just no way TCU makes it in last year. They go with what they think is best for "growing the sport". Otherwise the playoff would just be the same handful of teams over and over. An undefeated FSU who wins their rivalry game and conference title game with their backup QB will 100% get in because it's a feel good story, even if they would get fricking blasted by any other team in the conversation right now.

If we beat UGA and they keep them ahead of us, there needs to be criminal and civil charges filed immediately.

Where Ohio St lands will be very interesting.

Agreed. If they are in the middle of the Oregon/Alabama/Texas cluster instead of behind it, I think that speaks volumes about what the committee is thinking about the final rankings.

You just can’t leave out the SEC Champion. There’s just too much data from the last decade to say that a 1 loss SEC Champion isn’t one of the four best teams. Taking previous seasons into consideration might be frowned upon by everyone outside the SEC, but it would be ignorant not to include that.

But we would be the team to benefit…so everyone of course will lose their minds.

She's not someone I put any faith in.

FSU is not going to be a problem. Texas would be. Ohio State won't stay ahead of a 12-1 Alabama nor will UGA. The Pac12 loser will be out.

So if Bama wins it'll be:
Michigan
Pac12 winner
Texas
Alabama

This week's rankings do not matter. They know Oregon or Washington will lose this week and will fall.

There is zero chance that happens.

Lol... michigan beats ohio state in a heated rivalry game where the players left it all on the field, and Georgia struggled with georgia tech who most people dont know even has a football team anymore and this panel has uga over michigan.

Somebody please tell me who georgia played this year that even remotely is close to the level of an ohio state.

This panel is weak AF, and as usual humans frick up anything they come in contact with.

Dinich is the fricking worst. How she survived the ESPN layoffs is beyond me. Cecil was right about her.
