Guest pickers in 2025:
@OU-Trae Young (OU basketball)
@Tennessee- Candace Parker (UTWomen's BB)
@ Miami-Matthew Tkachuk (Florida Panthers player)
@Penn State- LaVar Arrington (PSU WR)
@Alabama- Theo Von
@Oregon-Sabrina Ionescu (Oregon Women's BB)
2024 (Regular season starting week 1)
@A&M- Johnny Manziel (A&M QB)
@Michigan- Michael Phelps (Olympic swimmer. Took some classes at UM)
@South Carolina- Dawn Staley (Women's BB Coach)
@OU- Blake Shelton (Country music born and raised in OK)
@Alabama- Ms Terry
@California- Marshawn Lynch (Cal RB)
@Oregon- Kaitlin Olson (Actress and Oregon grad)
@Texas- Scottie Scheffler (Texas golfer)
@Indiana- Kyle Schwarber (IU baseball)
@ Penn State- Keegan-Michael Key (Actor and PSU grad)
@LSU- Livvy Dunne & Paul Skenes (LSU atheletes)
@Georgia- Cody Rhodes (Wrestler from GA)
@Ohio St- Justin Fields (OSU QB)
@A&M- Dude Perfect (Sports and comedy group founded at A&M)
2023
UNC/South Carolina neutral site- Darius Rucker (Singer and South Carolina fan)
@Alabama- Joe Namath (Alabama QB)
@Colorado- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
@Notre Dame- Vince Vaughn (Actor and ND fan)
@Duke- Ken Jeong (Actor and Duke grad)
@Red River- Baker Mayfield (OU QB)
@Washington- Joel McHale (Actor and UW grad)
@Ohio State- CJ Stroud (OSU QB)
@Utah- Steve Smith (UU WR)
@Alabama- Nate Bargatze (Actor)
@Georgia- Nolan Smith (Georgia LB)
@James Madison- PFT Commenter (JMU grad)
@Michigan- Aidan Hutchinson (UM DL)
Almost every single week someone with direct ties to the school/area...except for UA twice and Colorado once
Gameday guest pickers in Tuscaloosa have included two comedians with no ties to UA, Verne Lundquist, Brain fricking Wilson in a full LSU football uniform, a Navy SEAL again with no tie to the university, A rapper with no direct tie, And another country music artist with no tie to UA
OSU has hosted 15 guest pickers by my count. Two were musical artists (One of which was from Columbus), Two athletes with no OSU ties (Santoni0 Holmes and Bryce Harper) and then the runner up from the World's strongest man competition with no apparent ties to OSU so 11/15 had direct OSU ties. Alabama has hosted 15 guest pickers. By my count 7 have no direct tie to Alabama...so yeah it's a trend.

And she has even been a guest before... so much for those saying they won't bring back previous ones.
I've worked with multiple directors rocking Bama hats and shirts on set and funny enough, my Alabama backpack is what led to me meeting Sonequa Martin-Green. Had no idea she was a Bama grad and found out we actually had a class together.
I don't know what Gameday's deal is, but Bama has a massive celebrity pool to choose from when it comes to guest pickers and that's ignoring all the former athletes. There's no excuse at this point.

Gameday called up former Texas Tech star Patrick Mahomes to be their guest picker Saturday...
LINK
If they decide to come back to Tuscaloosa next Saturday, who wants to bet they call Baker Mayfield to be the guest picker?

If Gameday came back for the OU game the best possible choice would be Jalen Hurts. Can't do it though since they don't have a bye week.

As a substitute, could we get Quinnen Williams and "Calamari"?

lol, had to google that one. I was so confused for a minute..... what does Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys have to do with LSU... or college football?

I mean, there is one celebrity Bama fan out there who could EXPLAIN why we're going to win.

Santonio Holmes played at Ohio State only and thus, was drafted out of there.

Scott Cochran would make a great game day picker

So Alabama is the designated home team yet the guest picker is a Georgia alum?? Did anyone see this coming?

Stone Cold Steve Austin is a big Bama fan. He’s entertaining. ESPN just signed a big deal with WWE. This should’ve been a lay up

No shocker there. ESPN favors Georgia for obvious reasons.
What "obvious" reasons?

That list says a lot about the journalism department.

Isn’t Snead an Auburn alum?
