Well that explains his poor play this year.

Yeah. We all need to slow down and enjoy the ride. If we lose a national championship it will be alright. Some people will gloat and talk crap, but that is really on them. If all one has in life is to troll other programs, especially ones that they're jealous of, then you kind of have to feel sorry for THEM.

If we win, enjoy it, and don't get too caught up in the next. None of us are putting "NCAAF National Champions Fan" in the "Additional" section of our resumes.

Right?

We all are fans, but I think some of fans take being a fanatic to the extreme. I’ve always tried to stay away from “bashing” players, even if it’s just a slight criticism. We have seen it with Dylan and with DJ Dale, I love our fans but we can do better also... Roll Tide!

This is just Hightower all over again, except Hightower was a tad more productive after the injury. Some team will get a steal in the 4th round and he could have 60 tackles next year. Wish his peak performance could have been this year for us but can't have everything and if we squeak past osu it won't matter! In meantime maybe we see a bit more of 42 on passing downs next week now that its obvious to everyone to go after him.

this would make sense. I wonder if he is also telling the world that he wants to get healthy and come back another year

You're really off-base here.

I read the board daily, and 99% of the fanbase on this board has commented he is clearly not himself this year.

There are some posters that have said that he wasn't all that great before the injury, and frankly that is debatable if you want to have that discussion, but most everyone can see that he is playing slow, tentative, and avoiding contact where he can.

Meanwhile Moody has flashed out there when given playing time, and is someone going to argue that Moody hasn't been facing his own adversity ? That he hasn't been making sacrifices and working his arse off ? Moody may not know the calls so Im not saying he should certainly be playing in place of 32, but I'm shocked there's not a better option on the most loaded roster in the nation.

It's not really worth discussing too much without all the facts so all we can reasonably agree on is it appears to be a bad situation. I hope Dylan plays the best game of his career Monday, and I hope he goes on to make all his dreams come true- That said it's been hard to watch him struggle out there this year, and the worst thing that could possibly happen is have this entire team be denied a championship if 32 can't play a decent game Monday.

He could use another year, just to prove he is fully healthy.

He is a 4-6 round pick right now. He could play his way back to the 1st round if he played fully healthy next year.

He’s infuriated me this season. But props to him for grinding it out and dealing with the pressure of being a star at Bama.

Took balls to write that post. Good luck young man. Hang in there. Prayers.

Yeah I've been harsh on Moses all year, but he can't help that he's been injured. Does make me wonder how badly the backups have struggled to master the play calling aspect of the mike that none of them could beat out an injured Moses.

If this is his last game in crimson, I hope he can finally have the great game he's capable of next week and go out on a high note.

His season reminded me of how Hightower was in 2010 when he returned from the injury. He never looked 100% and seemed to always playing through pain. In 2011 though he was 100% and we saw it out.

I also have no issues with his play because I saw him lead the defense this year setting everyone up and even not at 100% I believe Saban needed him out there directing things.

To be honest unless he gets a really high draft grade, and not sure that will happen with him admitting he is not 100%, I would not be surprised to see him come back for another year. If he did and played healthy and to his potential he could be a top 10 pick. But I would also understand if he left as well.

Aren't we supposed to have millions of dollars worth of state of the art medical science to help players back to 100% from injury?

If he's not fully recovered, then why in the frick is he out there practicing and playing?

This is a major philosophical weak point of Saban's. He loves playing players who are hurt for some reason, and never lets them heal. Then those guys go to the NFL, whose organizations actually value their health, and they ball out

I also think people need to understand that saying a guy like DJ Dale isn’t up to our standards doesn’t mean we wish death on him. Calling mediocre players mediocre isn’t bashing, it’s just not being blinded by crimson colored glasses all the time. I respect the opinion of someone willing to acknowledge weaknesses much more than someone who refuses to have a real football discussion out of fear of “bashing” players.

But people have been too harsh of Dylan’s play (not Dale’s though). Moses still has all the talent in the world, just a rough time recovering. That’s fine, his best football is in front of him.

If he is hurt would it have been better to take off most of the year until he was healthy?
