At least the Mormons are beating the Catholics.

Which is weird considering we’re apparently both Catholic lol.

I can’t explain to my wife why it’s so knee jerk to hate Notre Dame lol.

The decline of this program started after Cochran left and it’s no coincidence.

Which might have been why Cochran was called the “secret weapon” by Saban.

I would offer Demeco Ryans whatever it takes.

Zero experience coaching at the college level, which means no familiarity with recruiting, NIL, or the transfer portal. Managing players in college is now significantly harder than the NFL, because the NFL actually has rules in place.

Also, his career record is 33-23. DeBoer sucks but Alabama can do better than this.

Schumann could be a candidate, but I’m afraid we would just turn into Georgia Light.

Deboer is our only chance. Who else can possibly replace him?

I hope this thread is just very dry sarcasm.

If not, it is an example of Bama fans being a bunch of giant pussies. This program has had THE TWO greatest college football coaches in history. But now many of yall believe that a coach who is mediocre and a bad fit is the best we could possibly hope for and there is no reason to consider wanting anyone else…. Wtf am I missing here?

Some folks swore up and down Demeco would never do college and I told them nfl is no joke.

There are better coaching staffs we could get, but deboer isn’t going anywhere thanks to byrne. No real reason to discuss firing him at this point - due strictly to $$$. We will continue with deboer and continue to have these type games every year. Just the way it is.

Next coach has to have some fire to them and can get the players to be physical dogs instead of soft. Thats half the game. Sad part is Deboer has actually gotten better at that since his arrival. But Grubb and that style offense will be his undoing.

I don't think we have to fire Deboer. We have glaring issues on this team. Stop the bleeding where there is the most damage. Offensive coordinator. Fire grubb. Get one in who is hard nosed and insist on a gut wrenching run game. The new guy has to be able to blend Deboers system to his until his new offense is implemented.
Second fire the strength and conditioning coach and bring in someone who has everyone thinks came from Bragg or Paris Island. Worry about the defense later. If I'm the AD I makethis happen and if Deboer didn't like it he can leave.

This is the 'band-aid' minimum.....and I would only do that because the admin signed that stupid extension last year and we may have to give him more time due to money.

I absolutely agree. But we are trying to put a puzzle together with the wrong pieces. Remove 2 or 3 of the pieces that don't fit and replace them with ones that do and deboer ls team looks a lot different.

That is my largest issue. There are at least 2 games a year with him where the team is completely unprepared and literally sleepwalks through the game. Yesterday was an embarrassment. So was Oklahoma last year. So was Georgia and Indiana last year.

Just looking at Deboer’s track record, I do not blame the administration for hiring him. He looked like a very very capable coach (on paper). But I will blame the administration if they accept this level of mediocrity. I believe that DeBoer will be here another 2 years after this season, unless a monumental collapse happens. The administration should then have a number they are willing to eat as far as the buyout. Now, the other question; in 2 more seasons, who is a coach that will be considered whom will be willing to come to Alabama?

Lance Taylor. Repeat after me. Lance Taylor. He’s done more with less at Western Michigan than DeBoar has here.

I still believe that we can change a couple of pieces to the puzzle this team would look a lot different. It would be the cost effective route and stop the bleeding until that buyout is dwindled down some.
