I don't think the change in OC will show the changes we want.
Look at Sheridan as OC before Grubb moved in.
Similar feel. Basically KD is going to want someone that runs his stuff. Problem is his O philosophy is the problem.
KD has a headset and is listening in. I'm assuming he can veto or change the game plan at anytime. Seems like he's good with what's going on.
Trust me I'd be surprised if Grubb gets renewed after this season. If he does then admin is bigger frickin idiots that I thought.
But a change in the OC could be more of the same, and as fans the realization will set in that a regime change will be needed.

under 30 points in the last 2 games combined and before that we were averaging around 48.5. KR has regressed and is not comfortable in the pocket and is clueless when to step up. He has no internal clock that is still him to throw away or start running. Can he even see where the potential blitzes are coming from. Isnt it his job to identify those guys and shift the protection.

The deal is Deboers offense doesn't work against a stout defense. He has had 2 coordinatiors from his tree try to run it in this conference and we see the same results. Im proposing bringing in a proven OC that's hard nosed and know how to run the football. He will have to blend Deboers offense with his until his in fully implemented. The only decisions Deboer would make would be to go for it on 4th, try for 2 and so on. This is what I would hand him as AD and he could always leave if he didn't like it

quote:Ultimately you are correct. A new HC is the real solution. if only they hadn't STUPIDLY signed that extension.
I don't think the change in OC will show the changes we want.

It could be a failure in his system. I don't know yet. His first season he had Milroe who was the most inconsistent player I've ever seen. I'm willing to give him an opportunity to fix the problem and bring someone else in. If he fails to do so, he deserves to be fired at that point.
If he does get rid of Grubb, hires a new coach, and we're still seeing the same traits, then we know for sure it is the head coach. But Grubb already has a history as a terrible play caller. It's why Seattle ran him out of town. So I would start there. He has to go.
Let's see if he can make that change. I don't think we're that far off. If we have a better play caller, I think this team is near the top. Let's see if he gets rid of an already known problem (Grubb).
