When you watch our offense, do you feel like Grubb has a plan?

Yeah... which is why we usually have open options to extend drives but when our QB misses them we have to punt.

Some of you guys aren't realistic. Everything isn't going to work perfectly, but we have a guy who is scheming very well.

He is just getting let down by bad execution.

It’s incredibly disappointing to see the offense. That’s supposed to be CKD and Grubb’s specialty. They have obviously been seriously underwhelming. Ty has regressed and the running game is nonexistent. The inability to not turn the ball over is alarming and cost us today. This staff doesn’t have it and can’t handle the pressure of the Alabama program.

This! Hence our poor second half production for most of the season. Bama has been living on the edge for weeks. Luckily, the D has turned up their game because the O has sucked the second half.

Don’t know what’s going on with Ty, the last few games he’s had that look of being overwhelmed by the moment and forcing throws/ throwing too hard. I wonder if they’re asking him to make too many reads/pre-snap calls to the point that it’s affecting his throws, etc. It’s puzzling.

I think we have been a little behind the 8-ball with the poor rushing game. A significant part of an offensive scheme is taken away. I suspect next year we will begin to see the DeBoer/Grubb style O-linemen and D. Hill and A.K. 47 taking over running back duties and a much better running attack. Heck even with this line and Hill running behind it, we were much improved today.

Mac or Keely will be a real improvement at QB. Ty has skills, but not the mental make up right now to really play consistently well. He gets tight and, to use a baseball analogy, starts pressuring himself to throw strikes. Saban even said that Ty would beat himself up all the time. Grubb said that lately Ty's been texting early in the morning all of the things he needs to improve on. Ty needs to relax and play, but he's not doing it right now.

He has never thrown well on long balls or fade routes all season. Idk if teams realize that and are scheming to stop the deep digs and in routes or what but since the 2nd half od Missouri the guy has been disappointing with his accuracy.

The reality is our OC is scheming with an inconsistent OL, Jam as a terrible RB and a QB who can't throw the fade route or deep... that severely limits us

The fact Grubb can continue to scheme things is amazing. Ty this past game killed multiple drives.. not even the ones he gave 6 and 3 from turnovers. He just made us punt because he is missing open guys

When your OL and RBs cannot consistently protect, explain to me why you put your QB in the pocket for long developing routes on 60% of your pass plays.

Our screen game sucks. We don’t move the QB. Never change the defense’s aiming point. Never.

I guess if we did that you could just blame the players.

The run game plan is very simplistic and seems mostly to be something done perfunctorily to get to the throw plays.

This is what the Seahawks regime (Macdonald HC) had a problem with and it is really what I'm beginning to see in Grubb.

I am concerned but I am prepared to wait until they get their kind of offensive linemen in and see if the ground game picks up before I pass judgment.

And I have said that the crowd that thinks they should have come in here with a blank slate and drawn up their playbook and schemes to fit what they found instead of trying to install what they do as coaches was being unfair, but I do question whether DeBoer and Grubb underestimated the intensity of this fan base’s expectations that we go unbeaten every year, without exception.

Seattle’s offense still isn’t really running the ball for caca in Grubb’s absence but they’ve been a lot more effective overall, go figure.

This x1000. We’re so imbalanced on offense, though run game def improved tonight.

Outrushing them is a testament to our D, not our RBs. We had 80 total rushing yds - not exactly the Bama run game of old.

Daniel Hill was outstanding overall given the fact that OU is ultra elite defensively.

His father did nothing wrong. The media just highlighted hua father making a game and Ty paying for a private jet to bring him using NIL.

That was the launching pad for the hype machine where Ty was seen as the Heisman front runner.

It's the rat poison which I believe has Ty playing poorly.

We lost because our QB lost his accuracy for whatever reason since the second half against Missouri. We have looked very average since then.

Ty Simpson is taking daily treatments for an injury that shall not be disclosed here.

He also ran the ball very effectively on at least 3 plays.

Dude ain’t Namath, but he’s a team first football player.

Unlike the last sack of shite signal caller.

We don’t hold up under pressure and how many times has Grubb moved the pocket the last three weeks - or hell the whole year? He’s stubborn and his schemed has MAJOR weaknesses.
Grubb is fine. Wha do you mean we don’t hold up under pressure? Like literal pressure on the QB? Grubb can’t go play OL.

If anyone is wondering, YSTAR sees like good people but he’s got a chip on his shoulder about the QBs. He’s mostly correct about Ty, but trying to get everyone back from last season when they bagged on the black QB.

I imagine he thinks folks were too harsh on Milroe and even crossed the line at times(which folks did).
