Goodman said Bediako arrives in Tuscaloosa tomorrow and is set to play Saturday. Color me a little surprised.

Maybe Williamson can play better as a 4. He can shoot. He definitely cant do anything like Chuck Bediako does in the paint. But maybe he can get some rebounds and sit in the corner for a 3, when we have to get him some minutes.

Did you watch the 2022-2023 season?

He was the best defensive Center in America and the anchor of the #3 defense in the country on the #1 overall seed.

Bediako will make a difference. He is lockdown dribble penetration intimidator and offensively we will have a lob threat again. Philon will have some fun with Bediako as an option

I forgot about that. He definitely can throw it down. Will make life a bit sweeter for Philon and Holloway.

How about we go after Tua as well.. He'll be needed some reps.. Loyal to bama and beloved by all of us.. (plus his contract is guaranteed)

Half joking but the average age of Indiana was 24.. Those are grown arse men.. We lose every damn player before their 4th season.. I love Kadyn Proctor and he's going to phenomenal in the NFL, but he still hasn't fully grown into his body.. Even he struggled at times... How about we some of our players at 24...(yes I know Tua is 27)

Tua’s eligibility clock has been long expired. And Unlike Chuck he actually played in the NFL

Congratulations on making the dumbest post on the internet in 2026. It's still early but I imagine this one may hold up throughout the year.

Why would Chuck play in the NFL? He plays basketball?

Will be interesting to see how team chemistry is impacted by having a guy arrive in town, practice once, and take minutes from guys who have been pushing since June. Not a big fan myself but I’m probably not cut out for what a shitshow college athletics has become.

He's been practicing for a couple of weeks apparently. Collins(who is out for the year) and Willimson are who Chuck is replacing in the rotation. If anything, this will be better for TBB and Bristow, because they can play their natural 4 full time instead lf trying to spot minutes at the 5.

edit: I love this thread. scrolling through its a constant rotation of dumb takes getting dunked on by people who actually know a thing or two about the situation. The "I dont think he plays, personally" to immediate tweet of "Bediako will play" had me rolling.

I love that TN may be the only game he plays.
a) frick Tennessee
b) frick Barnes
c) Tennessee also has a 23yr old former pro on their team, so frick them.

I don’t think it’ll be the only game he plays. I don’t see this being settled quickly and I honestly don’t see it going in the ncaa’s favor.

Chuck may have developed some offensive game we don't know. But what he is is a rim protector and a lob threat. Play him with Sherrell against the Floridas of the world and you have a chance where you would not have before.

We'll see a vastly improved inside game. Whole different team.

I know I’m in the minority and will be downvoted, but I actually hate this. Going and getting someone out of the G league for the stretch run just because you misevaluated someone you recruited, i. e. Williamson, just isn’t a good look in my opinion.

I hope this pisses off enough people across the board in athletics that they go back to the model if you’ve been paid to play professionally anywhere in the world, you are not eligible to play college athletics. It made no sense to let European professionals come play and it makes no sense to let G league kids play either. I don’t blame us for taking advantage of the stupidity until it ends though.
