The perfect spot for Mac would be Indianapolis. Play behind Rivers in 2021, Rivers retires after one more season and Mac steps in.
Let me also add, I hope none of our WRs end up with Baltimore and their run, run, run offense.

I think Waddle and Smith are both gone by the time Baltimore is picking, unless they have another team's pick.

TWatts:

Spoke to some NFL guys and this is the consensus feedback I got on the Alabama guys headed to the draft. Still early but no combine might mean not many changes. Interviews should help the UA players too. Everyone agreed that playing for UA/Saban is a big plus and this season, how they conducted the season will also show maturity and help. Off the field all checked the boxes. Also 13 games against high level competition will help with film.
DeVonta Smith. Top 15 pick. Could go as high as 3
Jaylen Waddle, Top 15. Could go as high as 3 (Like Smith). 2 felt Waddle was the better NFL prospect. Medicals have to check out.
Christian Barmore, Top 35 pick. Could easily go in mid 1st round. Weak DL class and he's going to have really good film.
Pat Surtain, Top 20. With top 5 being the ceiling. Safest CB in the draft. Would test well if given chance.
Mac Jones. 1st-2nd QB value is high and if QBs go as high as expected in the 1st he could easily land in the 1st.
Landon Dickerson. 1st-2nd round the latest. Likely 1st if medicals check out.
Alex Leatherwood. 2nd-3rd round most likely. A few thought he could end of on the interior at the next level.
Najee Harris. 1st-3rd. Biggest opinions varied with Harris. Not surprising since he's an RB. But all agreed he is the best complete back in the draft and helped his draft stock by returning.
Dylan Moses. 2nd-4th. A couple felt he would be a better pro than college player. Compared him to Mack Wilson. Said he was not 100% healthy this year.
Deonte Brown. 3rd day guy. Conditioning is biggest question but also film speaks for itself. All expect him to make a roster.
As noted things can change but interesting notes after the season.

Leatherwood not being viewed as a tackle at the next level is the only thing keeping him from the 1st round.

Landon’s measurable swill be what keeps him from being taken 1st. It certainly won’t be his play that keeps him out of first round. He was a mauler.

I'm actually kind of shocked Leatherwood is projected so low. Why are people thinking he ends up in the interior in the pros?

I don't know to be honest. We do this every year, but the guy has played left tackle at an elite level for two seasons. The idea that he is a guard makes no sense to me. I have no doubt he could play guard, and he did early on here, but I can't see a scenario where you don't start that guy off at tackle.

There are concerns about his play as a pass protector.

But why? Did they see Mac's jersey at the end of most games this year? Our pass pro was outstanding this season.

He allowed two sacks and three pressures all season. And I know for a fact one of those sacks was miscommunication between he and the back.
I think he's way more skilled as a pass blocker than a run blocker to be honest.

PFF said they had him at 15 QB pressures this season compared to last. They have him highly graded as a run blocker.

Interesting. Pressures are kind of a weird stat because it's very subjective to say what a pressure is.
I feel like Mac was hardly pressured 15 times total last season, much less all from his left side.

That guy is always among the worst draft “experts” out there

I don't keep up with who is good and who isn't, and still three months out from the draft it's almost all useless right now anyway.
I will say that some of his picks and how far he had certain guys dropping surprised me.

This may not be a popular opinion, but everyone on this site could manage an NFL draft as well as any NFL GM. These guys sing their own praises, believe their own genius, but yet have no track record to support it.
Where every last one of us would fail is making the money work.
And, there is a case to be made that most GMs can't do that either.
