I think the Dolphins like Gesicki. He's not Pitts, but I'm not sure Pitts will be there at 18.

I would think injury history and centers don't always get great value in the draft.

Gesicki was literally the only weapon Tua had that was NFL starter quality. He needs a WR1 bad along with a legit RB1. Miami needs to trade back to the end of the top 10 from 3, pick up another 2nd rounder, take the best WR available between Smith, Chase and Waddle at 8-10...take the top LB available at #18 and then package a couple of second round picks to move back into the last 4-5 picks of the first round and grab Najee or Etienne.

PFF Round 1 Mock
11 - Giants - Devonta Smith
12 - 49ers - Pat Surtain
15 - Patriots - Jaylen Waddle
16 - Cardinals - Christian Barmore
19 - Washington - Mac Jones
31 - Buccaneers - Alex Leatherwood
Still a long way out from draft day, but it's starting to look like a pretty good chance at least five Bama guys go in the first round. If the right teams like Najee and Leatherwood it could be seven.

CBS Sports - Wilson - Round 1 Mock
7 - Lions - Devonta Smith
8 - Panthers - Mac Jones
14 - Vikings - Christian Barmore
15 - Patriots - Jaylen Waddle
16 - Cardinals - Pat Surtain

Highest I've seen Mac and lowest I've seen Surtain.

NFL.com - Bucky Brooks - 1st Round Mock
7 - Lions - Jaylen Waddle
9 - Broncos - Pat Surtain
16 - Cardinals - Devonta Smith
18 - Dolphins - Najee Harris
19 - Washington - Mac Jones
25 - Jaguars - Christian Barmore
I'd be shocked if Devonta lasted that long, but the Cardinals would be a great situation.

Wonder if Rhule (his Sr bowl coach) advised Mac to sit out the game. Maybe his agent did, but someone got him to sit it out. And you know Rhule talked to Saban about Mac in Mobile. We will never know what Saban told him, but I could guess.

Bucky has the Dolphins picking Chase over Devonta.
Why would they pick Chase when Tua and Devonta already have chemistry and Chase didn't even play last season.
He also has Carolina picking the ND State QB over Mac.
Rhule was blown away by Mac at the senior bowl. It's why Tannebaum said he wouldn't go past pick eight. Carolina picks 8th.

NFL.com - Zierlein - 1st Round Mock
3 - Dolphins - Devonta Smith
4 - Falcons - Pat Surtain
11 - Giants - Jaylen Waddle
26 - Browns - Christian Barmore
29 - Packers - Landon Dickerson
30 - Bills - Najee Harris
No Mac, no Leatherwood, and Dickerson makes an appearance. This guy's mock is very different from many I've seen. He actually has Fields dropping all the way to 15.

These guys mocks are awful. I question if these dudes have a clue what they are talking about. May be going for clicks. DeVonta will NOT fall out of the top 5. No chance the top 5 teams pass on his ability.

Ehh it’s possible. Almost every year there’s some guy that people are certain will be top 5 picks but end up falling to the middle. We don’t know what’s going through this team’s minds on that day.
I almost kind of want him to fall so he ends up in a good place. A team with a solid passing attack and where he isn’t the only weapon.

It wouldn't shock me to see him drop out of the top five.
Jacksonville and the Jets are absolutely taking QBs. Atlanta doesn't need WR help that high in the draft. So that leaves Miami and Cincinnati. I think Cincinnati probably likes what they have with Higgins coming in last year and playing well, and I think they need OL help first and foremost.
So basically to me the Dolphins are the only team that absolutely is going to go playmaker with their first pick. Could they take Devonta? Sure, but there are other good WR too. And, even more likely, is them trading back into the 8-15 range so one of those teams can move up to 3 and get a QB. They'd still be in a position to get a very good WR and they could probably add a couple picks.

Packers or Bills would be wise to take Najee late in the first round. Both teams are literally a RB away from the Super Bowl.

Where do mock drafts predict Tide players to be picked? (AL.com) Projections for Mac Jones and Christian Barmore vary the most.
