Dk had some issues off the field.

Mack was never 1st round pick... his performance and tweets turned lot of coaches off.

I don't think McShay has been accurate all the time.

Of course he isn’t but he’s unlikely to be this wrong. If only “potential” matters he would know to put Moses in the first.

Mack had attitude issues but there have been worse guys drafted in the first 2 rounds. If teams truly felt he was talented, they would’ve by passed that because it wasn’t something huge like an arrest.

Landon can play all positions but either guard and C would be where he starts. So he is not just a center. Most NFL teams only keep 7-8 on the 53 man squad for OL and if you are versatile like he is then it would improve his stock.

If that's your argument, go for it.

The average NFL career of a center is close to the longest of any every-down position in the NFL. Most teams don't need a starter or a backup at the position in a given year, so the teams that do often don't need to draft them early, unless there's just a world beater at the position.
This is pretty much it. Centers DO QB the Oline and point out defensive alignment at the LOS, but other Oline men could it if they were over the ball. The biggest opportunity for a center to excel is to have the quickness to move into the 2nd level of the defense and neutralize LBers on run plays.

Dickerson has had ACL tears x3 now I believe. I would think that drops him to a late round or even FA status despite his talent.

The guy has had 3 ACL tears in I think 4 years. That does not bode well for a 22 yo 300+lb athlete. Someone would have to really love him to tie up a higher pick on him

Wait what? Leatherwood dropping to the 3rd is flat out crazy. What's the lowest an outland trophy winner has been drafted?

Barrett Jones was a 4th round pick. Lowest I could find a 6th rounder. Most of them are 1st round picks though.

Mac Jones to the Packers would be nice.

Back up Rogers for a few years, then take over? That offense kinda looks like what he has been running already.

The Packers drafted QB Jordan Love out of Utah last year in the first round to backup and potentially take over for Rodgers

Any guy on the street can do a mock draft and publish it to the internet these days, so take this with a grain of salt, but here is where I am seeing our guys mocked about four months out. I have approximated this based on looking at a number of different Mock Drafts and trying to use those compiled in the past two or three weeks.

Devonta Smith - 1st
Patrick Surtain - 1st
Jaylen Waddle - 1st
Christian Barmore - 1st
Mac Jones - 1st/2nd
Alex Leatherwood - 1st/2nd
Najee Harris - 1st/2nd
Dylan Moses - 2nd
Deonte Brown - 2nd
Landon Dickerson - 2nd/3rd

This is on par with what is out there. I do think Leatherwood goes first round along with the other four in the list. After that it will depend on who gets picked and where. Najee could easily go late 1st round. I doubt we see Mac taken in the first and would not be surprised to see him late 2nd round.

Dickerson I think will definitely go by the 2nd round but he could surprise people and end up late 1st round. How many people expected James Carpenter to go late 1st round.

Also I may have missed it but have seen LaBryan Ray in mocks late 2nd or in third taken. Has he declared or announced he is coming back?

PFF's Big Board is interesting. It obviously has to be updated since folks are returning to school but still....

quote:

7. Jaylen Waddle
8. DeVonta Smith
15. Christian Barmore
17. Patrick Surtain
30. Mac Jones
36. Alex Leatherwood
59. Landon Dickerson
69. Najee Harris
93. Dylan Moses
168. Deonte Brown
201. Phil Mathis
239. Josh Jobe
255. Brian Robinson
