Bama players in 2021 Mock Drafts

Any guy on the street can do a mock draft and publish it to the internet these days, so take this with a grain of salt, but here is where I am seeing our guys mocked about four months out. I have approximated this based on looking at a number of different Mock Drafts and trying to use those compiled in the past two or three weeks.
Devonta Smith - 1st
Patrick Surtain - 1st
Jaylen Waddle - 1st
Christian Barmore - 1st
Mac Jones - 1st/2nd
Alex Leatherwood - 1st/2nd
Najee Harris - 1st/2nd
Dylan Moses - 2nd
Deonte Brown - 2nd
Landon Dickerson - 2nd/3rd
Would be pretty incredible.
*We've seen reports that Jobe is coming back but no official word from him that I'm aware of yet. He's a 2nd/3rd from what I can gather right now.

Dickerson will be gone by the time we hit mid 2nd round.

Dickerson was our best player in online this year

Hasn't it been 3 years since Deonte Brown had given up a sack?

I don't disagree. Centers don't get the same draft placement as tackles. You usually won't get more than one center picked in the first round, and sometimes none.
Humphries from OU seems to be the competition with Landon for first center off the board. Hopefully Landon can do some pre-draft stuff to ease any injury concerns, but I believe he's now had two ACLs, which won't help him.
Still, all it takes is one team. There will be lots of teams that love his makeup.

There wont be NFL Combine... But rather virtual pro day... and Dickerson still won't be able to do stuff anyway. He'll do interviews... and that's about it.

I don't know. I'm just regurgitating what the mock drafts are saying right now. Based on his season, I agree, but I hope I'm wrong.

I doubt Moses in 2nd
I think there could be a team that sees his measurables and takes a chance he's going to be the next Jaylen Smith.
The new salary structure for the draft gives teams the opportunity to take more chances, and I could see some team overlooking this year in favor of his potential.

For those in the know a genuine question.
What keeps Landon Dickerson so low on draft boards? Is it injury prone, players around him or just the position in general isn’t a place that is needed in the NFL as much as say a great guard or tackle?

Centers just don't usually go in the first. I am sure there are exceptions.

There is usually 1 in the 1st round or early 2nd round each draft year historically.

I'm sure part of it is LD has torn not only his own ACLs but yours and mine too possibly in college.

Dwight Stephenson went in the 2nd round.

The average NFL career of a center is close to the longest of any every-down position in the NFL. Most teams don't need a starter or a backup at the position in a given year, so the teams that do often don't need to draft them early, unless there's just a world beater at the position.

Dickerson does have injury history. He did manage to stay healthy here until the UF game, but he had some injuries at FSU.

What’s his name not Kiper the other guy said Leatherwood 3 round. I think Moses goes round 4/5.
Eta Todd McShay

Moses will be drafted 1 to 2nd. NFL drafts based on potential.

I will take a bet on that. 3rd and beyond.

I can’t say for certain he won’t be a first round pick but I doubt it.
But it’s not based on potential (measurables) all the time. Otherwise DK Metcalf would’ve been a top 10 pick (in hindsight he should’ve been but that’s not the point). Mack wouldn’t have fell to the 5th round. Game tape still matters and it could be argued Moses might not reach his full supposed potential.
And McShay is probably one of the more accurate draft experts out there. If he says 4-5th round, I doubt he goes round 1.
