Fire DoBoer…whoever thought it would be great to extend this idiot should pay half the buyout!

Don’t fire him and wait until you can afford to will cost you more in the long run!

All of the “reasonable” fans on this board will tell you this is the right answer.

But you are absolutely right that it will cost more in the long run. Les fricking Miles was able to take over for Saban and keep a program near peak level for a decade. DeBoer is crashing and burning in year 3.

True… but apples to oranges in this day and age of NIL. Not remotely the same.

Listen carefully. There’s no chance he’s fired. He was just given an extension. He is not getting fired. I’m not a DeBoer fan but he is not getting fired… somebody comes after him or he makes sweeping changes are the only possible outcomes.

Maybe Michigan's head coach will retire and they'll go after DeBoer again

Who is paying the buyout? All the people on here who think spending $3 on NiL is like lighting money on fire?

If all of them pick up an extra shift at Dollar General this week we’ll have the 67 million in no time.

Probably true. But again, it will likely cost the program more in the long run. We are going to suffer through this shite for 2-3 more years until it’s totally untenable, fans lose interest, the program loses prestige, and then hopefully find the right guy to totally rebuild the program. I dont know what the value lost it over all of that but I bet it’s a lot.

Yes. Unfortunately just because we’re Alabama doesn’t mean we’re immune to it. Get ready.

Fire his assistant coaches and use the money you wanted to use for his payout and put it towards NIL

I asked this question every time one of these stupid threads start.

Fine, fire Deboer, but who are you going to hire that's better. Please name the name of the coach you think we should go after if we were to fire Deboer.

So the 2 options are fire him or not fire him. Very insightful!

Idk. But definitely fire Grubb. I'd rather the free version of Chatgpt call the plays than him.

everybody sucks nowadays. Miami had to get the ACC refs to cheat for them to be undefeated.

He'll retire at Indiana. Why would he leave that charmin soft schedule with a billionaire funding his NIL and paying him whatever he wants?

Nah, the right hire and an immediate commitment to revise the roster can work but if you're firing coaches at the peak of Mt. Buyout then you probably don't have payroll money like that.

Without a 30 year old Heisman winning QB, he's scraping by trash teams that even we would probably manhandle and lost to the only decent team he played.

You think he'll win 90-0 every week at Bama? Think again...
