As I keep saying, a bunch of our fan base think one man … a savior … can fix it all if we just get the right man. The problem is this sport has changed so much that programs are never, ever, ever again going to be dominated by one all-powerful coach and his process. Not with players making 7 figures and able to transfer pretty much at will if the coach pisses them off.

Cignetti won’t have a jillion dollar sugar daddy or a bunch of graybeards on his roster here.

And the first time he struggles here people will be on his arse about his 90-minute practices and trying to get his coaches out of the office at a decent hour to have a family life.

We are at least 3 years out before we can even think of paying that buyout. Unfortunately CKB isn’t going anywhere thanks to Byrne.
