If Najee can get his forty down in the 4.5s, then he’ll make a bunch of extra money

Najee reminds me of a bigger Chris Carson. Chris Carson Highlights
Carson ran about a 4.6 at the combine.
He won’t go in the seventh like Chris either. Najee is going to be productive as hell in the league.

I find that surprising considering Derrick Henry is 6'4 and runs a 4.5 40.

In my opinion, the most pure athletic back in the Saban era is Kenyon Drake

There's a good argument for that; Drake was most likely the most versatile back we've had. But with Henry's role as the alpha back in the offense his junior year, think it's easy to underestimate how good an athlete he is. As great of a running back as he was at Bama and is now in the NFL, I think he could've also been an elite tight end. I recalled reading an article about how he filled in as a receiver during Bama's pro day since they had a lack of WRs that day and looked it up again (from the NFL site):
quote:
Running back Derrick Henry -- 6-foot-2 1/2, 244 pounds -- got some extra credit for stepping in as a receiver because the event didn't have enough wide receivers. The scouts on hand were ecstatic over how well the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner caught the ball. Henry stepped in and showed that he has real good route-running ability, and that is just another skill that he possesses that people didn't realize that he was so good at. Henry really helped himself out at the pro day.

Drake was awesome especially before that horrible injury at Ole Miss. The way he bounced back was nothing short of incredible. His NFL career has been so fun to watch. If Drake is the best, Josh Jacobs is a close second. He was electrifying in 2018. Just a great all around running back. His ability as a receiver was awesome.

Re: Derrick Thomas, Don't you wish he had a son close to his talent and could play for us? Watching another Thomas wrecking backfields would be an absolute thrill.
Derrick and Kobe such tragically similar stories.

This was posted on bol about najee "Has been a different beast since he decided to come back to bama for his senior year. I have talked to two people and both brought him up without me even mentioning him, talking about he how he is in the weight room or practice fields every single day by himself grinding. He is also on a very good meal plan (like a lot of players) but this is new for Najee. Sounds to me like he got a little bit of a wake up call. The dude is probably the most pure athletic back Alabama has had in the saban era and is not only buying into the program but buying into what he can become if he works hard for it. He’s got people around the program glowing about him."
Hell yeah

So excited to see him and Sanders in tandem this year.
Can anyone tell me when A-Day game is scheduled? How does the stadium construction affect the game?

I remember when Clemson’s running backs were called that going into 2008 before Alabama curb stomped them and kicked off the dynasty.

"Lia" is the worst. That's a girl's name and not fitting for an Alabama quarterback.

Yep as I believe they combined for 20yds which is what John Parker had close to in that game. Ingram and Coffee both came close to 100yds each in that game.
Hearing about them going into that game was almost as entertaining as the year UGA fans went on about Heisman favorite Noshow Moreno who gained less then 35 yds against us in 2008

Lia is just a shorter version of his actual name.

You realize that Lia is just a shortened version of his given name yeah? Kind of like how Tua is also a shortened version of his given name.
