Why would Keeley announce that he’s coming back ?
I don’t know that he made an “announcement” as much as he just answered a question. And FWIW I am not blaming the questioner. That’s the world we are in now. There are threads on this board where “fans” speculate about what players we have that might be leaving.

I know. We live in an upside down world with transfers and NIL. And it makes mad to no end when message board trolls start rumors about players.

Simpson said he will decide his future after the season
I can't really blame him and I think he would be a day 1 starter over there. With Milroe (likely) coming back and Sayin waiting in the wings, I'm sure he sees the writing on the wall.
Speaking of Sayin, I haven't heard the praise for a qb from teammates since Tua first showed up.

I recall when players mentioned being surprised at some of the passes Ty Simpson completed in bowl practice when he first arrived.

All I've heard from players is Jalen Milroe in an interview. When asked about what he'd seen from Sayins during practice, he said "He can spin it".

I’m not even sure Tua had this type of immediate wow factor from the players when he arrived.
Sounds like the TE out of GA is turning heads as well.

I’m very suspicious that some of the stall in his development was BOB related, but I don’t have any insider information to prove it.

Miss State is part of the bidding as well

I think O'Brien came to Alabama to ride Bryce Young's coattails back to the pros. BOB had zero interest in putting in the work to develop the depth because he knew he wouldn't be around to reap what he sowed.
It certainly seemed true with Milroe and I suspect it was no different with Simpson.

I can’t find the twitter, but the head ref tonight is indeed Michael Vandervelde of the B12, a Michigan native.

With the Rose Bowl being played later today, there is a connection between Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh and @AlabamaMBB. Harbaugh and former Alabama player and later head coach Mark Gottfried are second cousins. Gottfried’s father, Joe, and Harbaugh’s father, Jack, are first cousins. During their senior seasons in the 1986-87 academic year, Harbaugh played quarterback for the 11-2 Wolverines, while Gottfried started at guard for a 28-5 Alabama team that swept the SEC regular-season and tournament titles.
