frick YEAH. Let's rolllllll baby. It's like ive been telling yall since the offseason.

It's frickin Buchner and we're going to the ship.

Has Buchner learned to dial back a little bit and limit the turnovers? Hope so. I think that's easier to teach a QB than reading a defense is.

One positive to take from Buchner getting the nod is Rees knows him better than the other QBs on the roster.

He's called full games with Tyler as the guy across multiple seasons.

I think Buchner is going to surprise some folks on here. The way he moves, his throwing motion, and improv remind me a lot of Johnny Manziel.

He doesn't have Milroe's elite athletic traits, but he is a true dual threat with a decent arm and lot of wiggle.

He's not just the boring caretaker type. Dude can make some plays.

Milroe can't win with y'all bitching... If he took a shite, y'all complain. If he waved at y'all's wife, y'all complain. If he smiled at you, y'all complain. Got damn! Excessive whining nonstop all week long and now he has a package in red zone and y'all crying like a baby...

To the bench

I hope he does well, as I had hoped Milroe would do, but I will not be able to take anything positive from the USF game. They've gotta do it against Ole Miss for it to matter.

Who have we missed on besides Drake Maye to be in this QB situation? I'm saying players that would be a sophomore or junior, not Manning.

Other than Maye nobody that I can think of. We got Bryce in 2020 and that was our guy. Maye was our priority in 2021 until he flipped to UNC and then we shifted to Milroe and got him to flip from Texas. And then in 2022 our main target was Simpson and we got him.

I think Lonergan will get the next opportunity

I hope so. Just from back at A Day- and a few practice reports- Lonergan is best at getting the ball out fast to an open receiver. Even though he is only a freshman, there was a notable difference to me with him out there.

Riley Leonard at Duke was an instate kid not offered... now he's a projected possible first round draft pick.

IMO, hot take but he's not that impressive.

If one of these other QBs wins the job and keeps it, how long will it be before Milroe hits the portal? Does he stay for the season or is he in the portal in a few weeks?

If true, it will be interesting to see who the No. 2 guy is. Is it Milroe or Simpson

I've heard rumblings that Simpson is actually 4th string

It'll at least be til December because the portal is closed until then. Unless he's a graduate but I don't recall him graduating early.

He might not be that impressive, but the kid sure is fun to watch play.

Unpossible. He was a 5-star pocket passer out of high school

Also, I don't know why they don't give Ty a shot in a game. I don't think he can play worse than Milroe honestly.

Considering he slid to 3rd or maybe even 4th string, I think that it is absolutely possible that he could play worse than Milroe.

Rodney Orr said he got second team reps this week. Milroe also got some. So I think he’s third at worst.

Milroe is so explosive I wish they'd talk him into some role with the offense you can't teach speed like that.

Bring him flying around on those jet sweeps like Texas did to us and teams have to respect it, and he could even throw deep if asked to off that he does that very well.

Simpson has never gotten a chance with the first team offense so it’s impossible to know
