He had all day to throw those picks

They broke down a handful of times but I didn’t think it was egregious. It just seemed like we had absolutely no options in the short game or weren’t taking them when available

On almost every sack he had 3+ seconds to throw. On one of them I recall him literally stepping up right into a player that was being blocked by Proctor.

OL was far from perfect but they were plenty good enough. We’re just asking way too much from them when Milroe needs 10 seconds to make a decisionz

Ray Charles could see Milroe was not the answer.

The media hyped Milroe all week because of a game against MTS. It’s like hyping Secretariat after beating Mr. Ed by 20 lengths. I doubt one person is surprised by Milroe’s performance. He is who he is. It’s hard to believe a few people thought, someone was going to wave a magic wand and he’d magically turn into Warren Moon.

Saban crapped the bed again dealing with our QB situation.

Dude it was absolutely egregious. It was BAD. They were getting bullied pretty much the entire game.

This seems like a gross overreaction based on 1 game. I said this was feeling more and more like 2015 to me as fall camp went on, and low and behold we've suffered an early season loss, people are calling for the end of the dynasty (even some of you), and yet everything we did wrong is absolutely manageable if the players put in the effort to get better.

Milroe had an early pick that showed his inexperience imo, then threw an egregious one late. Both of these can be learning opportunities. Its not like there wasn't a lot of promise though.

With 13 sec left, Milroe threw a TD to Burton that got called back because Dalcourt was half a yard too far upfield. Would've been 13-10. We settle for a FG.

Milroe comes out and throws another TD to Burton on a scramble that has an iffy hold called on Proctor. Would've tied the game at 13-13 (Actually could've given us the leader if previous TD stood). This was followed immediately by a penalty on a 3 year starter at center for a jerky snap. Milroe handed a 2nd and 22 instead of 6pts. We settle for a FG again.

2 TDs that were called back for things Milroe can't really control. That's 8pts we watched happen that got left on the field.

I also watched two Texas turnovers get erased, one by a holding call on Texas (wtf was that?). They finally get called for holding and it somehow negates a fumble that we recovered. Just one of those nights I suppose.

Could Buchner have done better? Maybe. But I don't see the 2nd or 3rd guy doing that much more with what little the OL and RBs were providing the 1st. Downvote away

That’s objective.

I went back and watched the game since I was live. The interceptions by Milroe were easy for Texas because he stares down the WR’s. He throws behind them and high. He doesn’t throw them open either. One big thing Buchner does is throw people open not wait for them to get open. Not saying he can’t improve but that amount of instinct and improvement is tough where we currently sit .

I'll add that when it comes to the OL, I would see about shifting Latham to LT, moving Proctor to RT, and putting Ferguson or Pritchett in for Dalcourt. I'm sure he's a good kid, but I haven't seen a single promising game out of Dalcourt in 3 years it seems.

I think I'd rather see Lonergan than Buchner.

Milroe is not the answer and it is plain to see.

I'm not saying he is per se, just that he looked like less of the problem than the OL and RBs did on Saturday imo

This ball should have been picked. It was not a good throw.

RB’s blocking needs to improve.

OL yeah needs work.

Need QB switch up.

He created some OL issues by holding the ball too long, running into rushers by scrambling the wrong way, ...

Good point. I agree with you. I felt that the long TD pass to Burton just showed Milroe only has a deep ball and running ability.
