Yep. We all know where the AL.com people stand when it comes to Alabama athletics. You can’t trust hardly anyone anymore.

Brando can kiss my arse.

We have a huge advantage against texas with this. We could play our second string and make everyone think we are complete shite. Play 4 QBs whatever.

The mojo of this team is great. If we can run. Watch out.

It's time for Teague's Tentative Take on the QBs.

I said months ago I thought Ty Simpson would ultimately win the job, but that I wasn't counting Milroe out, and might even be pulling for him.

Not much has changed. I've always been a fan of a QB that can pass the ball, lead the team, make good decisions, has a competitive nature, and, way, way down the list is running ability.

Obviously, Milroe is a freak athlete. But, the kid is also very intelligent, and he definitely has a strong arm. I don't know if the accuracy is there, but maybe. I think these super athletic kids often enter college behind the curve because their passing doesn't get developed as much in high school. They can shred high school defenses by passing a little and running a lot. Joe Blow who runs a 6.5 forty gets developed as a passer every play. So, I don't want to assume Milroe isn't capable. He has the physical abilities. He's smart. We can't know about his leadership qualities yet. In the end, I want a QB that can manage the game, throw the ball, and win. It would be fantastic if that guy could also run it in from 80 yards out. So, I'm pulling for Jalen. But, if he's not the guy, I'll be happy if someone else steps up.

And I want to make their asses quit.

Brando has a weird bone to pick with Saban, and has for a while. Not sure what exactly happened there, but he clearly has some kind of grudge. Very unprofessional.

Brandeaux is a homer for LSU and strangely enough Ole Miss because his daughter went there. He’s one of the worst at hiding his bias.

Agreed. If Saban had released a depth chart then our opponents would be able to scout us better. It’s strategically important to not release information. See if we gave out information then Texas would be in a better position to beat us. People like Finescum will criticize us no matter what.

Brando, Barrett Sallee, Clay Travis. They’re all extremely biased because they cheer for rival teams. They don’t even try to hide it.

didn't Brando apply for the Bama radio gig after Paul Kennedy left in the late 80's ? If I am thinking correctly, he has been sour at bama ever since

The fact that Clay Travis is considered a sports journalist tells you all you need to know about the state of sports journalism these days.

AL.com is the biggest cesspool of absolute pieces of shite that probably exists in "journalism" right now.

It's not that they hate Bama. They hate football. Too white, and too masculine. They would spit out the same shite articles if it was Auburn who was a powerhouse right now.

I don't see how al.commie can stay in business. Nothing but ridiculous left-wing BS... and their opinion writers are laughable race baiters and trans pushers.

Not releasing a depth chart is genius. It may keep guys motivated and it lessens to a degree agents that are trying to poach our players for other coaches at different programs.

We shall soon find out but on paper I can't recall a Bama defense being so deep. Maybe not releasing a depth chart is about the defense. What if Saban really feels there's no drop off between 1st and 2nd strings? The potential on the defense is remarkable.

Agreed, this defense has some serious potential and looks to have some really good depth at every position. It’s good to hear CNS saying Tim Keenan and JM Latham have stepped up on the DL. Hopefully these two stepping up will cause Tim Smith to elevate his game too.

Has anyone heard anything about J. Campbell’s injury? Saw he was in a black jersey with a knee brace on in the practice video.

Even if Saban would have released a depth chart it would have contained so many positions with an “Or” that it would have been worthless. Qb would have had 4 co-starters.

Way off topic, but I was just watching this video on youtube of the 2016 non-offensive touchdowns. I would give a lot to have a defense like that again...

Minkah Fitzpatrick
Tony Brown
Eddie Jackson
Da'Shawn Hand
Reuben Foster
Ronnie Harrison
Shaun Dion Hamilton
Ryan Anderson
Marlon Humphrey
Rahsaan Evans
Levi Wallace
Tim Williams
Josh Frazier
Jonathan Allen
Da'Ron Payne

Not to mention true freshmen like Diggs, Lewis, Wilson, Raekwon, and Q. Williams, with Jeremy Pruitt as the DC... I miss it and I want it back.

They were discussing the depth chart thing on the radio. Is Saban cuddling the players too much by not releasing a depth chart? Afraid to hurt their feelings? I hope not, hopefully he’s doing it to keep competition thriving, but don’t the players know who is getting first team reps.

Marvin Houston said it helps having a depth chart because then you know where you stand and what work needs to be done.

the players know where they stand Marvin. Everyday they are told where to stand in line up for drills. I am pretty sure the 8th string walk on RB does not go to the head of the line and stays. Marvin of all people should know this. The Depth Chart is for reports and fans so they can talk bout it.
