JMO Kevin Steele and his defensive staff are the key to this year's team. Defense must be much better than last year's bunch.

If I were to say that his ball security issues in the aTm game were an outlier and he's unlikely to have another performance like that in the future I would have the same amount of evidence to support my position as you do, which is none. He has played a grand total of 1.5 games in his entire career where anything he did mattered.

Mac Jones had 2 pick sixes in his first start and people wrote him off before the next season. And we see how that worked out. People assuming Jalen is going to be awful is just as unsupported as those assuming he will be amazing. We will have to hope while waiting to see his performance this season.

Tim Brando with a solid preseason melt

"Nick Saban’s not delivering a Depth Chart is beneath him, despite likely giving the guys calling the game some semblance of lineups. He should be above that but clearly these days he’s not in the best of moods. I got in some trouble a few years ago condemning @CoachJim4UM, and HC’s can say or do whatever they like in todays environment.

Why bully his local media in such a manner? The …kissing he’s demanding here is a joke! When much is given, much is also expected and the Goat needs to act like the greatest as opposed using your brand as a bully pulpit and that’s all this is! Using its “etched in stone” is a bit much, when the truth really is my QB room ain’t what it used to be."

Butthurt Brando

He warned everyone a year ago after the opener he wasn’t doing a preseason depth chart release ever again.

Funny how LSU hasn't either (or A&M), but he only mentions Coach Saban

Brandeaux is and has always has been a Bama hater. He lives in Louisiana.

It’s what the media does. They live to build you up but love to tear you down.

You’re right, I shouldn’t have said the TOs were “no anomaly” given how small the sample size was. The intention was not to discuss the likelihood of him having ball security issues in future games based on his performance in the A&M game.

I was replying to Boz saying “take away the turnovers and we blow them out.” While it might be true, I don’t know why we would disregard the turnovers in that game as if they were some freak occurrence, when in reality they occurred relatively frequently.

Anyway, I don’t believe that game is indicative of how he will play this year. I suspect he has made a good amount of progress since then and I’m optimistic about him developing as a QB and leading this offense.

I love the framing of this as Nick Saban punching down on the local media because they happen to be around when he announced there would be no depth chart. When we all know that the biggest hay made off the depth chart would be the national media.

Brando has a weird bone to pick with Saban, and has for a while. Not sure what exactly happened there, but he clearly has some kind of grudge. Very unprofessional.

Nicky will probably lose sleep over Brandi’s comments.

Seems like something happened during the 2019 season when LSU had that great team. Someone told me that Brando, who was employed with CBS at the time, really pissed Alabama and Coach Saban off with his antics and unprofessionalism during that game. Tim has been with Fox Sports since 2020.

Aside from the fact that we have a QB competition and it's the first one in a while I don't see how this fall's refusal to release a depth chart is any different from any other fall since he got here. Saturday we will all see the depth chart when they trot out on the field. Remember in 2009 I believe Roy Upchurch was assumed to be off the team only for him to be the first RB off the bench and the one who's number got called to save the season against the Barn. Saban isn't telling anything good or bad.

I love seeing media shitheads like Brando and Finebaum whine like little bitches because they aren’t getting their way. They do nothing positive or productive for anyone.

The good thing is our kids have grown up in this Era. So, they're immune to the clickbait media and don't condone and support it by clicking and spreading it around the internet. We old guys are still living like the media are reporters, and we get all up in our feels and put food on the tables of those who are manipulating us.

I don’t give in to the clickbait articles. I hate when people post articles or quotes from media people who clearly hate our program. Journalism has been dead for a long time. All we see anymore is fanboys of certain teams with microphones. People like Cecil Hurt, who were fair and balanced, are sadly few and far between nowadays. Chris Low of ESPN is probably the closest thing we have to a Cecil Hurt right now.

Only journalist Saban will go through these days. Not a single local journalist has actual insight. Aaron Suttles was good but he’s working for Alabama now.
