We may not be in the Top 8, but maybe we swapped places with Auburn at 10.

Like the resilience of this team coming off the heartbreaker last night.

No doubt. I think today may have done that regardless of tomorrow's outcome for us. 3/4 head-to-head against AU. 40 wins, 18 SEC wins, top 10 RPI.

Very impressive bounce back against your rival after last night. Glad I'll be able to watch tomorrow night's game instead of constantly checking updates while at work.

Same for me brother.

Chris Stewart said first 40 wins since 2006.
Might have heard it wrong though.

Maybe first time to 40 wins at this stage so since 2006. But Alabama absolutely won 40 in 2010. That team made a super regional. Lost at Clemson. Gaspard’s first season.

Had one last shot at a massive comeback in Game 3

This team is amazing. They can compete with anyone. Bohannon’s shenanigans definitely put a chip on their shoulder.

Great win today and huge bounce back from yesterday’s heartbreak. Everything from here on out in SECT is just gravy.

It has been so enjoyable the last few weeks. Just an incredible job by the players and coaches!

Love the fight in this team, especially after the gut punch from last night! They could’ve gotten the “poor me’s” and allowed the Barn to beat us. If we can get Jarvis out of his funk, this bunch can go a long way!!
Today likely earned us a Top 10, regardless of tomorrows’ result. Hell! Let’s win tomorrow and see just enjoy the ride.
I’m going to get my arse down to T’town next weekend! This regional has been a LONG time coming!!!

Good times, proud of this team.

Would love to get another shot at the Gators tomorrow. We are a lock for a host slot at this point, so we're playing with house money the rest of the week/weekend.

Looks like we got Vandy. Hope McNairy keeps pitching like he has been lately

Assuming we get past Vandy who do we start pitching in first game vs UF? UF will have only blown through 2 starters so far.

Given that we would have to win two from them, I would likely concede the tournament to them and rest up for the regionals. Perhaps look to take the first game for fun’s sake. However, I doubt they throw a legit starter in either game.

I’m doing much better today, thank you. More relieved than anything to get that W yesterday. Bama fans have turned out in Hoover for sure. Hope the same support continues to Regionals next weekend. What an incredible run. Bama plays the second game today - first games is at 3:30 CT. Now go get Vandy!
Crimson Tide Eliminates 19th-Ranked Auburn from SEC Tournament, 7-4
The Tide advances to game two on Friday and will face the loser of the Florida-Vanderbilt game
Alabama baseball claimed a 7-4 win over 19th-ranked Auburn on Thursday afternoon at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The victory moves the 24th-ranked Crimson Tide to 40-18 on the season.
The in-state rivals traded runs through the first two frames before the Tide pulled ahead with one in the third and three in the fourth, setting the score at 5-1. Both teams plated two apiece in the sixth before Auburn got one in the ninth. The Tigers brought the tying run to the plate twice in that final frame, but a strikeout and a popup ended the game at 7-4 in favor of Alabama.
Garrett McMillan (4-2) posted a quality start against the Tigers on the way to earning his fourth win of the year. The senior allowed three runs on five hits and three walks with a season-high eight strikeouts. The Tide bullpen then took over, giving up one run over the final 3.0 frames. Alabama's relief effort was highlighted by Hunter Hoopes, who recorded the game's final two outs for his first save of the year.
Alabama totaled 14 hits on the day with eight of the nine starters recording at least one hit. The offense was led by Tommy Seidl, who finished 3-for-3 and a triple short of the cycle while adding two RBI and two runs scored. Drew Williamson and Andrew Pinckney each tied Seidl at two RBI while Caden Rose matched Seidl in hits with a 3-for-4 showing that included an RBI and one run scored.
From Interim Head Coach Jason Jackson
"We said 'let's make sure we don't bring (yesterday's loss) to the yard with us today', and you could tell right away that our guys didn't. This was a great effort all around. (Garrett McMillan) gave us a quality start and then our main guys, our 2-3-4 hitters, had six RBI. When your dudes are dudes, usually good things happen."

SEC Tournament Bracket
The tournament goes back to single elimination on Saturday and Sunday. I can’t remember when they made that change but it looks like the penalty for losing is having to play an extra game on Friday while the winners (UF and Arkansas) get to rest. No more having to beat a team twice on the weekend.
