Honestly, the away-game memory that stands out most is 2013 Miss State where everyone in the section (even Miss State fans) were celebrating Georgia's inevitable defeat of Auburn. It was a good memory until the news broke

Where were you sitting? I was in the Auburn student section that year too, all the way at the top. I’ll never forget some of the looks I got when Upchurch scored that TD

I was going to post this as well. UGA fans are the worst I have ever experienced at their field when they do not win. They had all the hype coming into the game.

Was by far the best of my away games because I live here in GA and have to deal with this fans all year!

They are not only the worse fans when the lose, the are the worse when they win, when they use to tie, and when they aren't even playing!!

this fan base will talk as tho they've won 6 of the last 12 natty's to anybody that will listen. ive never seen a fan base act like they do. i live in ga also, and they're nuts. i'm from alabama, got to be clear about that, lol.

And in case you haven't heard, they are going to win the SECE, the SEC, the NC and their QB is going to win the Heisman!

From my time at Alabama, Georgia fans were the worst when they came to Tuscaloosa too.

I think I was about halfway up somewhere around section 23-25. I remember telling my friends exactly what play we were running when Upchurch scored because it was the only play we ran that year when Upchurch was in the game.

If I remember correctly, one of the Auburn defenders (a DB, I think) said the same thing after the game, and you can see him frantically gesturing at Upchurch when we line up.

The one that stands out to me was the 2012 Michigan game at AT&T. Grabbed some tix off Stub Hub without thinking to much about where I was sitting. The tickets came to me in a University of Michigan Athletic Department envelope and it turned out to be smack dab in the Michigan fan section. They started out very confident and the looks on their faces by halftime was priceless.

Sitting around a bunch of Ole Miss fans as they jumped and hollered after going up 0-21, only to have the great Gary Hollingsworth put a whooping on that arse.

They were all gone by the start of the 4th quarter.

All of my away games were as a member as the MDB (been to several neutral site games since). Probably my three favorite memories were:

1. Blackout in Athens. UGA fans were so terrible. UGA got a first down early in the second half and this drunk fans is just all in our faces screaming, barking, etc.
"We got a first down!!"
"You have an injured player."
"So what we got a first down!"
"Might want to check out that giant zero on the scoreboard." More barking. About that time Clarence comes up. Clarence was this big state trooper that was at all the games with us. He put his finger square in this drunk guy's chest and told him "I need you to leave MY band alone" and you talk about a guy thinking he saw a ghost

2.) Miss St 2009. They had just kicked a FG to make it 17-3. Javy returned the kickoff across midfield to like the 48. Cow bells ringing loudly. Greg runs play action, throws to Julio who is WIDE open. Ball is about half way to him the the cowbells just go silent as they realize we're about to score an easy TD.

3.) 2009 Iron Bowl ending. Enough said about that one.

I was at this game. I kind of remember that sequence of events too. State fans were awful that game. Talking all kind of shite, real agro. Lady behind me purposely shaking her cowbell right beside my ear the whole first half.

At one point, we were in the redzone, and my friends and I were sitting down. Trent got the handoff and ran it into the endzone, and I sprang up to cheer and celebrate.

At the same moment, this little kid with his dad was walking in front of me. I didn't see him, and in the process of cheering, I knocked his entire big gulp coca cola all over him. Just drenched.

I felt so bad, and his dad, and all of the MSU fans around me were fuming, really pissed at me. I profusely apologized to the kid, and the kid was really calm, and understanding. He knew that it was an accident. I even offered to go buy him a new drink and a new shirt, but he declined.

I think the kid being so cool about it calmed the mob down. Anyone who saw it knew that it was an accident. I thought I was going to get lynched there for a second.

I did a similar thing at LSU in 98, but it was an adult whose drink I knocked out of his hand and it went all over his wife. We were sitting in that weird area at Tiger Stadium where a lot of visiting and home fans were next to each other. I thought for sure he was going to try and throw hands because he'd been kind of an arse the whole game. He may have had it been a Coke, but it was just water and really not very much. Most of it went in her seat. There was a vendor walking around selling drinks and I bought them both a water without asking to smooth things over because I did feel bad. He didn't even thank me, just ripped them out of my hands and handed one to his wife. They stormed out when we scored that TD to win it.

LSU fans were REALLY salty after that game.

My first Bama game on the road as an adult. Me and a couple uncles went to Columbia, South Carolina in 2005. It was Steve Spurrier's first home game at ?USC. They almost beat a top ten Georgia in Athens the week before. So the Cocks were cocky as frick.

We went to five points the night before, to drink and talk shite with the locals. It was a good time, and they were cool to talk with. We'd been shitty for so long, so even my uncle who can be annoying was pretty humble that night.

We ended up beating the shite out of them. A couple rednecks even tried starting a fight with us, while we were walking to get a cab. But we laughed them off. Ended up getting into a cab that was a early 90s Lincoln big body, with a piratey looking driver. After we drove off, I asked him if I could light a joint, and he said "only if you pass it."

We had camped the night before, but we're too tired to do that again. So we told the driver take us somehow decent. We ended up getting a hotel room at the Whitney (where Steven Garcia was living for awhile), and chilled there and watched the night games.

Yeah anything that causes some LSU fans pain is a top of the list kind of away game.

Away games are so much more fun. It feels like it’s you and your group against the world. Especially during the Saban years because you walk out feeling like a conquering army.

I’ve been to a lot of the games mentioned so far like 2008 UT, 2009 Auburn, 2014 LSU, and so on.

So I’ll throw 2018 LSU in there. They were talking all sorts of shite before that game. Afterwards, that campus cleared out faster than an evacuation. It was incredible.
