My buddy and I were having a discussion about Saban's post-coaching career. We were talking and he brought up the kid early in Saban's tenure here who did the impression of him. We had forgotten his name. And then we both agreed we wouldn't be surprised if he had gotten into sports media somewhere (podcasts, radio, etc). Anyone know what happened to him?

He was South Alabama's OC last year. They were top 20 in the country in scoring and yards per game.

I will keep an eye on Wake Forrest this year.

I think it’d be hilarious if he just did a Saban impression while coaching/recruiting and became the greatest coach of all time

Would be great if they could Cinderella themselves to an ACC title.

Really? He was the OC at USA last year, right? The previous Wake OC was pretty good, I assume he landed a bigger job.

Edit: he wasn’t retained by the new coach after Dave Clawson retired. He’s now an Offensive Analyst for Iowa.

Funny enough, I was about 18 years old when all of this transpired. ESPN kind of fell in love with Ezell on thus day. It was the open practice/ autograph day...AKA the running of the gumps. My best friend and myself road tripped from Chattanooga to get Mark Ingrams autograph and he wasn't even there. Later that evening when I got home I was telling my dad and brother that while getting a Julio Jones autograph, some little white dude was interviewing the players. It was Ezell! My hand made ESPN, and the star of Rob Ezell was born. Funny enough, I actually went to meet up with a child hood friend, Mike Bowman, who many of the old heads on here will remember.

Rob is a good guy. His grandfather was either the HC or a coordinator at MTSU back in the day. His mom was a good English teacher, if a bit bitchy. Led Athens to its only state title since the 70's.

Evan Neal changing positions. He has had a rough go of it in NY at right tackle, worsened by injuries.

But, he was a top 10 pick. Hope the move works out for him.

Neal moving to guard

This has potential to be a great thread. There are a bunch of former players that are not in the social media spotlight that I'd like to know what they are up to professionally. Collin Peak is one of those guys.
