Thanks, Boz. I wasn’t trying to draw attention to it. Just conveying that it’s going to be ok. I think about what my dad said when we beat Notre Dame for the NC. Something along the lines of, “I’ve waited my whole life to see us beat them.” That was awesome in itself but he and I started to lay off trying to micromanage Alabama football after that. He lived through both dynasties and the valleys between. Perspective is important. If it makes you miserable then what’s the point. FWIW I’ve enjoyed your posts. On to Ole Miss. I still think Lane is waiting for the job.

I would be weary if I were a upcoming player and heard how much Saban blames the players and never the coaches

I'm not defending how we've played this season but this is a little ridiculous. We've lost by a combined 4 points on the road to 2 top 10 teams. It sucks but we'd beat most top 25 teams. I'd bet the house on us versus Clemson for example.

We were a play away from losing to a really bad A&M team. We came close to losing to an average Texas team.

There’s nothing certain with this team except they can turn any game into fight.

Like I said I'm not defending this team's performance. We could easily be 5-4 or 9-0. I was just saying it's ridiculous to say we couldn't beat any top 25 team.

It’s not ridiculous at all. We can lose to anyone with a pulse with the way we are playing.

I think he’s trying not to scare off his potential candidate pool in these pressers.

Reading is hard. I didn't say we couldn't lose to anyone. I said it was ridiculous to say we couldn't beat any good teams. The post I responded to said we couldn't beat any good teams at all.

How do you not make Daniels beat you with his arm?

Letting him run for 25 yards for a TD in OT is inexcusable.

I was disappointed that we weren't expecting that play, and adjusting for it. It would have been nice if the officials had called that block in the back on the play.

Love the name too. Alfie is a great character.

Saban’s postgame press conference is just word salad. As are most of his press conferences these days.

We're looking at a 5th place SEC finish. 2010 wasn't this bad

We're a few FGs and XPs away from either being undefeated, or having FOUR losses.
To only have 2 losses may have to be taken as acceptable

We're a missed field goal and TAMU catch away from a possible 7-5 season. All of those almost-losses from last year are starting to become actual losses. So many tried to dismiss last years' issues but this is what we were talking about.

Winning games is great (like last year) but when the team looks this consistently unprepared, there will always be a time where it completely falls apart. It's not dogging the team or anything, it's legitimate concern.

Easily could have lost against A&M and Texas. Let’s say we did, we’d be at 6-3 right now. We beat Austin Peay, that’s 7-3. Ole Miss could easily be a loss, so 7-4. Then Auburn at home in what will be a tough game but probably a win, so 8-4. Then we get steamrolled by someone like Oregon or Kansas in a bowl.

So close to being one of Sabans worst team of his time here, I think.

Anything's possible, but I don't think Oregon would steamroll us. Bo Nix has looked better against PAC-12 competition, but he's still Bo Nix. Georgia devastated Oregon. Granted, we're not Georgia, but still.
