I went to bed after the third inning so my comments are from what I saw.

I coached little league so no coaching from me but.

The LF had the ball in her sights and misjudged and did not jump at all

The 3B running to second was an obvious slide. She was not even looking to murph for signs. If her eyes had been following the ball she knew it was going to be a no throw. That is a little mistake to not follow the ball in front of you for a split second and not slide and not look to your coach. I have not seen a reply from the angle to see what Murph's sign was.

Briski was giving up a lot of base runners in the second game through the third inning. I am not sure when she was pulled and when the runs scored though. But their batters had her down and were teeing off.

Our batters seemed to be miffed in game 2 even after seeing both of their pitchers in game one

Did our CF ever do anything meaning at the plate the entire series. Such as move runners over or drive in a run. I dont think so.

She moved their runners over and gave them a run when she threw the ball into the dugout.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, and I don't want it to sound like a big excuse, but playing back to back games in the Wirld Series just seems pretty church league softball level type scheduling.
They didn't even do a afternoon/ night double header. Just one game after the other.

bama looked like they had a serious hangover, especially in game 2. the lack of effort and mental focus was shocking, for the situation. it's like they collectively were pissed off at someone and didnt give a dang about winning.

i have a question. do they train the bama pitchers to avoid throwing strikes after the second strike?

How in the world do you blame Murphy last night? Is he supposed to catch the ball in left field or take a bat and go hit? Unfortunately, Vandergriff cost you game one and you ran into million dollar buzz saw in Game 2.

The only person to blame for the program's current state of mediocrity is Patrick Murphy. I was hoping he'd win one and retire, but this needs to be his last season regardless.

The program is far from mediocre. Murphy unfortunately is a victim of his own success. He has built the program from scratch into a consistent contender. Two things can be right though. We can be grateful for what he's done but also be upset he can't punch in a title. He's had probably four teams that could have won it all, yet only has one title. Even with how good this season's team was at the long ball, the offensive woes always come back to bite him in the arse in the most critical moments.

Unless we lose a ton to the portal we should have a damn good squad again next year. Firing PM would jeopardize that.

Genuinely shut the frick up. Holy. Finishing top 4 in the country is “mediocre”?

He’s putting up elite seasons with a 100k total NIL budget. Meanwhile the two pitchers we faced had a combined NIL of 1.5 million. Some of you have zero idea what you’re talking about.

This team will likely be preseason top 5 next year and you want to fire him? Give me a fricking break lmfao

I went to sleep in the 4th inning, the energy didn’t look good and assumed the outcome. Couple inches short on that homer for tech or we would be in ship

Wtf

Murph basically built the whole dang thing from nothing and turned into a top 10 program in the country.

Won a national championship. Made another championship appearance. Won the SEC six times. Won the SECT six times. Made the NCAAT every single year. Made the WCWS 16 times which is 5th most all-time. He's currently 11th on the all-time wins list and only two of the coaches ahead of him have a better winning percentage.

The season ended in disappointment, but get a grip.

Our ladies hit the two pitchers in game one but could manage just two hits in game two. You would have thought this would have been an advantage to our batters after seeing them already. Any thoughts on what happened?

The LF not putting forth the effort to jump 3 inches with a championship appearance on the line completely deflated the team. You could see it on Moten's face during the replay.

They were loose in the first game because there was no pressure on them as they had to be beat twice. Once they lost, it was all or nothing…I think they just choked at the plate! The pressure got to them.

Does that make him lesser than any current coach besides Patty Gasso?

Who’s done better besides Oklahoma?
