At a certain point I think we gotta accept that Murph is a good teacher and ambassador for the university but he’s probably squandered 4 title caliber teams in his time here if this result holds. You can’t win em all but the fact his teams consistently have WCWS bedshittings like this is just something we’re not going to shake until we have the next coach I think.

I will never forgive Vandegriff. Had a National Title in our hands every thing was setting up for it…..and she fricking choked it away with laziness and lack of focus

This isn’t on Murphy. You can blame pretty much every other year on him(2021 specifically) but he built an elite team this year with an actual really good offense. Everything was going our way and our LF fricked it.

HE PLAYED HER IN GAME 2!! It's one thing to make a mistake off of effort. She made ZERO effort on that play. You have to take a stand on that as a coach. Period.

This is cleary Murph's fault. Look at Texas Tech. It's obviously the winning technique to pull your pitcher ever other inning and berate them.

I hate to be that guy but I guess I did it for him tonight.
I just don’t know how we’re going to get over this block where we can’t make our own luck or pursue self-harm in the very late stages of an otherwise great season.

How in the world do you blame Murphy last night? Is he supposed to catch the ball in left field or take a bat and go hit? Unfortunately, Vandergriff cost you game one and you ran into million dollar buzz saw in Game 2.
Will Murphy win another title? Who knows, but I don’t think it’s on him as much as I don’t see anyone competing with the NIL oil money of the Texas schools if they choose to keep pouring it into softball.
