He'd certainly be welcomed with open arms by me.

That kid can scoot.

UGA is a big factor for him as well. I don't think it's a forgone conclusion that he stays in state, unlike many prospects from Alabama.

The longer his recruitment goes, the better it is for Auburn.

I just think of it this way. UGA was his named leader a month ago. Bama is making a charge now. We don't know for sure where those two stand, but they seem to be ahead of Auburn. If he were to decide now, it would be UGA or Alabama, imo.

The longer he waits, the more the pressure to stay home will build. He will be able to go on more visits to AU in season. I just think it helps them.

I agree with this. He seems like a kid from a small town who wants to get out and see something different, but those places always have a way of dragging people back.

I hope he comes to Bama, but I have a gut feeling that he ends up in Auburn.

Looking at all this amazing prospects left...

- Defense
Matt Elam
Rashaan Evans
Raekwon McMillan
Zo Carter
Dashawn Hand
Marlon Humphries
Tony Brown
Ronnie Clark
Hootie Jones
CJ Hampton
Davion Hall
Jalen Tabor

- Offense
Cam Robinson
Damien Mama
Tyler Luatua
Malachi Dupre
Leonard Fournette (not too realistic)
Roc Thomas
Johnnie Dixon

Damn... that is a lot of talent right there and we ONLY HAVE 7 SPOTS.

I'm a little pissed. Last year we had to turn away some top talent because of lack of space. One of which OSU benefited from.

I wish we could force space some how.

More like 9 spots left.

The analysts on BOL sure think so.

Probably. Roberts is going to flip to Auburn eventually and Bo is either going to flip to UF or not qualify.

I also wonder if we have an "extra" spot because as far as I know Bozeman never signed an NLI and therefore wouldn't count against the SEC's 25 NLI rule. If that's true, then we'd still have room to backcount 1 to '13. Of course, we'd still have to make the NCAA 25 initial counter limit work out somehow this time next year.

To be honest, some say seven while others say nine. Those who are saying nine are hoping we Bear Bryant scholly Holcombe and we can count back a spot for last year.

The problem with this rationale is that I'm not sure we can count back that spot because Darius Paige from my understanding still counts even though we didn't have to grey shirt Bozeman. Also the staff has not confirmed Holcombe as a Bear Bryant scholly that has all been internet talk.

For all we know we actually have 7 spots remaining. This reminds me of last season when we thought we had more than we really had, because we felt the staff would grey shirt here and do this there but they didn't and we ended up missing on some guys.

In short, I wish the kicker, Holcombe and McBride (maybe some others!) would all decommit.

Paige still counts against the 25 NLI limit but Bozeman might not meaning we could possibly sign 26 in '14

Our guys think UGA leads, followed by Auburn. He wants to see how we look before he decides. I think if we are back to competing and win some games early, we could get him. UGA is definitely in it though, I think he ends up there if Auburn doesn't do as well as he hopes

I have to disagree sir. I think the longer the wait the better for us.

based on need, my hope is that the class fills up as follows

Elam (especially critical with paige gone)
Carter or Hand or Evans
Humphries
Ronnie Clark
Robinson (must get)
Mama
Luatua

if we have 9 available, then
Fournette or Roc
McMillan
(RB an ILB are kind of luxuries at this point based on our current roster. that being said, Fournette and McMillan are probably takes regardless)

crazy part is we have a legit shot at actually doing this. if we managed it, combined with what we have already for 2014, potentially GOAT class ever on paper
