If the player was a recruited walk-on, a student-athlete who was recruited by Alabama's coaches and who receives the Bryant Scholarship, that player does not count against Alabama's scholarship numbers until he sees playing time.

Goddamn genius. So basically we just stole a 4-star player from MSU and he won't count against the 85 until he steps on the field which may not be for 3-4 years.

fricking Bear and Saban working that magic.

FINE!

Maybe I'll go help him add some muscle to his upper body and not tweet shitty vines all the time!

Oh, and Trey, why don't you tell everyone else what you know from you marajewana & herroween message board! I already know because I read it 6 hours ago!

First thing I thought as well regarding the Bryant Scholarship. Let the kid develop and when it is his time put him out there.

Well, at least Rashaan Evans made it to Tuscaloosa for his visit:

Let's hope he still has a spot.

Do we lay the 4 jersey out for every kid who visits at random or do they pick it? Seems every time a kid poses by himself in a jersey on a visit its that number. Even OL/DL guys as well. You would think 15 would be the number or even 12.

It's usually the # they wear in high school. Evans wears #4 for AHS

I'm stoked about the situation because he will work into a S role or if he packs LBs on still an OLB coverage specialist

And it might be a BRYANT SCHOLARSHIP

I love Saban some times I really do, he is a master with the 85

I don't think it counts unless he was actively recruited...if do then I read once before that as long as he does not take a snap for 2 years then he does not count. After 2 years then I am not sure
