Soooooo...Johnny Manziel told ESPN’s Ed Werder he’s sober and ready to play football in 2017 AND that he achieved sobriety without the help of professionals. HAHAHAHAHAHA....

Jesus Christ, Larry. Get a hobby that doesn't involve Johnny Manziel.

Grandfather was an alcoholic. In 1974 he quit drinking with the help of a grandchild (me) and AA. In 1988, his own brother gave him a drink at the age of 68 he started drinking again. Johnny has a tough road ahead of him...and the people who he surrounds himself with can help him, or cause him to fail.

Good lord... I actually think he even stole the "sober and ready to play football in 2017" line from the video Kenny and Stevie made for the MLB scouts in Season 1 of Eastbound & Down hahaha.

The pic where he looked like he weighed 80 lbs was taken on New Years eve. That was 3 weeks ago. I do not believe him

If he is sober, he needs to try CFL. If any NFL team gives him a look then I have to question what kind of a shite show that organization really is

This makes me believe he's blown through his contract money. Why else would he all of a sudden love the game of football more than anything?

This guy just needs to give it up. I have a better chance at getting an NFL contract in 2017

Do yourself a favor...go to the Arena Football League and be a superstar. You'll never make it in the NFL again. You had your chance and totally blew it.

He better start studying those Canadian and Arena League rules if he wants to play pro ball.

That would be O'Brien's last day on the job... pretty sure he would walk out if Rick Smith came and told him they just signed Manziel.
