re: I got to be honest I am not clear what Jayden wants

At a certain level I feel bad for him because of his insane mom. But also, he’s an adult and can tell his mom or whoever is pushing this to chill out. But it’s hard to underestimate how much an overbearing mom can warp a young momma’s boy’s mind. All in all I’m just kind of confused and bummed out over it all. He really can’t live with a DB wearing his number 3 years later?

Skenes has been pretty average this season to be honest.
Compared to his first 2 years, sure. By every metric he’s having a really good year, not average in any objective sense.
re: It's time. I'm starting to smell the fall air. The Lane Train is coming.

"Jay snuffed him out". Pretty evident, though I have no idea when Jay took over, but it was Jay walking out to the mound & talking to the pitcher. He usually only went out to change pitchers. Plus, there were several shots, especially in the playoffs, of Wes sitting alone in the dugout, not the usual place for a pitching coach during a game. Note that Yeskie was always sitting 1-2 steps from the field, basically sitting next to CJJ. on the dugout steps.
Yeah Wes didn't do shite down the stretch in 2023. Coincidentally was when a number of struggling pitchers started to put together the pieces and had huge, important outings for us.

The 2017 team kinda did the opposite. They had every reason to fold and made it to the championship series

A much less stressful summer honestly

That's the issue in the "who to root for". We're in direct competition with a lot of the teams who would otherwise help us by winning.
Yeah I'm thinking at this point we just cheer for LSU to win 4 or 5 out of next 6, 1 or 2 in Hoover, and hope it all shakes out in our favor.

Let’s just hand the keys over to the freshmen. 3 straight professional at bats and we take the lead
That shite was captivating to watch. I know next to nothing about gymnastics and even I got a weird feeling about those scores they were throwing at OU on floor. Chalked it up to me not knowing any better but it seems like people agree
Love everything he said. Maybe love isn’t the right word. I hate that this season is practically a wash at this point. But I have massive amounts of trust that Jay will learn from this and get it right
Never really liked him. He's just so sterile and generic. Plus he really fricking sucks at calling baseball, which is the sport I listen to on the radio most. The older I get, the more I miss Hawthorne and all of his quirks. He would piss me off plenty, but damnit he was ours.
The student section has sucked ever since they stuck it on the baseline

While I’ve been watching the game, Kentucky has outscored LSU 8-0. When I’m not watching LSU outscored Kentucky 12-2. I hate this purgatory but I’ll do what it takes

Have you watched college baseball before? Have you watched this team?
Anyway, really nice and encouraging outing from Cowan today. We absolutely need him to consistently give us some good innings if this is getting turned around.

Sure would be a shame if some jerk did a clandestine stream on YouTube. I hate video pirates! If anyone finds one send me a link so I can uhhh report it

Belongs on any legit short list of greatest pitchers in LSU history IMHO. He’s unfortunately not talked about enough, mostly I’d guess because of his injury and that we didn’t win a title while he was here.

Might be total bullshite. Whatever, I’ll choose to believe it. Life’s short

Well, we do sometimes. Now what?
