Millions of people are on a never ending search to be offended. Times like these highlight their insane lack of perspective and prioritization skills.

As a black man this does not come close to offending me. This is meant to be a jab at a spouse nothing more. Ironically I just talked to a guy that had to leave his house where he was in self quarantine because he had pissed his wife off and her best friend. However, we cannot make somebody else see things the way that we do.

I say the people freaking out should have to live in our world instead of all of us living in theirs having to walk around on eggshells. If 99% of people don’t think it’s offensive and a couple clowns do then those that do should have to live with it.

Zeek, you're exactly right. I think some people just play the "offended" card to get attention or get something they want. It's gotten beyond old and becoming ineffective. There have been far, far more white, etc. men hung by nooses than blacks.

So basically a noose is not allowed to be shown or discussed ever regardless of context. Got it.

That’s funny. Ppl are soft.

That was funny and those offended are way too sensitive and self absorbed.

Or are aware of how it's seen by some...potentially alienating recruits of the affected race. I personally don't think it's offensive but having lived everywhere east of the Mississippi (excluding NE) it's not something you want to put out there during a nearly nonexistent sports news cycle, before your first practice, and when you're coaching in the south for the first time (KY = faux south.)

MSUDawg, I wasn’t aware that only one race had ever been hanged via a noose before? How enlightening!

There is no racial reference in that post. Looking for reasons to be offended. Pathetic.

I hate it when white people get offended on behalf of another race. Those that didn’t see this as a joke about being stuck with your spouse for a while are dumb and likely closet racists themselves. As for the players leaving they were probably looking for an out anyway. Soft arse culture...

The noose was invented before America was “discovered”. Some people need to grow up and quit trying to pretend to be offended by every little thing.

The pic is funny! and it has nothing to do with a racial issue!

Apology unnecessary.

This is so fricking stupid. The idea that the depiction of a noose is racist regardless of context infuriates me.

I'm not mad that minorities found it racist. I'm mad at non-minorities moral peacocking and joining in with them. If we just tell people who are easily offended to stfu, we'd all be better.

I thought it was funny. In the days of the old west, they used to hang horse thieves and cattle rustlers, and from all that I have seen from the movies, they were 99.9999% white. People revising history so they can be offended. Straw Man history, but we can't use "Straw Man" anymore, because rope used to be made out of straw......

Why is that offensive?

Those players are huge pussies with a victim complex.

People saying this is racist is why people don’t take claims of racism seriously. Any idiot can see this was not about lynching. Unfortunately there are a lot of idiots on the MSU football team.
