Regardless if you agree or not. Ranked wins are recorded by the teams rankings at time of contest. Anything can happen during the season that can change a team drastically. Well had you beat Auburn this year Bama would have likely made the playoffs. That would have been based solely off your rivalry with Auburn and the national exposure of the Iron Bowl.
