How badass would it be in Minneapolis if Seth came out to his Shield music wearing his Shield gear? Doesn't that seem a bit necessary at this point?

Great movie but I did notice one sizable error. The French man killed while getting a shave wasn't portrayed as the diplomat that history says he was. I give that a pass considering they brought forth the statement Washington signed under duress. The end felt abrupt and that things were built up to but not given the time they deserved.

My wife said it wasn't bad and she hates history...so I'll take the W there. For some reason she was laughing at the battle scenes.

John Adams was excellent, but the series Turn is underrated.
I binge watched Turn last month and loved it. I still watch the Independence episode of John Adams every July 4th. I think they're great companions showing Congress on one side and the machinations of military leadership on the other.

I'm going to see YW this afternoon. Most people have been taught about the father of our nation but everything about him before 1776 gets glazed over.
He's doing a signing in Chicago at the end of the month. I'm hopeful that he'll make it there but this video does not instill confidence that he will.

We had a brief reprieve from the great this afternoon that gave my a couple of hours to enjoy a stick that's been at the bottom of my humidor since last winter. It may not have been as flavorful as My Fathers but it was smooth and burned straight.

Amazon Basin Daggers seem to be available everywhere. I'm struggling to decide between picking up a box of them or the Le Bijou 1922 Años.

It's been way too hot to enjoy a cigar lately. I am looking forward to the pool where we spend a week every summer. Nothing beats sitting in the shallow end with cognac and a well paired cigar.

who was dating the psycho dude about six or seven years ago. Was her name Jessica?
Yes. They got married and had a kid. They got a really shitty edit from Grodner.
I turned to my wife and told her I thought Lyric was going to be the ho of the season. That was before I knew she was quasi famous. Chicago chick might be the better prediction.

I wish they would stop relying on reality show veterans. It's bad enough that they recruit. Angela was annoying af a few seasons ago. I'm sure some people checked out the second they saw Rachel... and aren't even aware she was just a head fake to the Survivor chick who is the real 3rd "surprise" person.

I haven't regularly watched seasons since All Stars. Their DEI season was a disaster that they still haven't recovered from. They also didn't do themselves any favors when they stopped with BBAD. I would leave that on as background noise but it would keep me interested. I have P+ so I'll give it a shot this year. Aside from the token queer (and Angela), nobody is overly obnoxious.

Maybe the story is reversed and they're fleeing from her?

Thankfully they weren't conscious when the cabin crashed into the Atlantic.

The problem isn't HHH. The problem is the helicoptering Dwayne, Shapiro, and Ari approach that screws everything up. They're still trying to recover from Dwayne's bullshite that tainted Cena's final run.

Getting the private jet’s shitter fixed or something?
I know this was meant as a joke but.... The OP is exactly what someone who has traveled on one would feel. Having traveled on a corporate jet halfway across the country for a football game, I will feel like I'm slumming it when we fly to Aspen this fall on a regional jet. Same thing with vacation homes. We spend a week every year at the company vacation house. Our only cares in the world are what movie we're going to watch in theater along with what cigars we'll pair with what spirits (and vice versa). I could never go back to $200/night VRBOs (we pay taxes based on $5,000/night) and traveling primarily on commercial/dealing with TSA's bullshite.

FWIW, private jets are much more smooth than regional jets but it's not a huge difference. I used to fly on SWA all the time and never had an issue. The one bad experience was on a Brasilia turboprop when flying on Delta from GTR to ATL. So bad that I drive the 90 minutes to Birmingham every time after that.

Also FWIW, the most comfortable seat on the jet we use is the seat in the bathroom.

Should never have sold them the content
WWE licensed the content to Netflix.

Frankly the best way to watch wrestling now is with a VPN connection through Canada. All PPVs are on Netflix. Raw, Smackdown (live on Friday afternoons when in Europe), and NXT air with very few commercials. The library is on YouTube (along with Evolve).

Would it be better to pay off in full at installation or finance?
For decisions like this I look at the financing charge vs what I would get with it sitting in savings for that time. If you can get 0% for 6 months do that and pay it off at the end of the year. Sometimes the savings isn't worth the trouble but if you like to save what you can, it's worth looking at.

Culturally, the North is far more racist than the South

Certainly, historically, the offenses were more blatant in the South, but its changed; the North has not
We had this discussion my first semester at State. One of my friends from the delta put it like this. In the South people may be racist but they don't hide it. In the north they'll smile to your face and then be racist af behind it.

Before my family met my now wife my grandmother actually asked my mom if she was black (her maiden name could be either way). It's not something I would've thought twice about but with my eyes opened it was a ridiculous thing to ask. I'm the oldest grandchild but 10 years later the second youngest married a black guy. And yep... smiled to his face and his mother but then went off on the whole thing after the reception.

A moment I'm not proud of but when I was 5 or 6 we went to a large city grocery store and I saw my first black person "in the wild" (whites/asians were 98% of the population there). Amazed I loudly stated to my parents 'look there's a n*gger!' Something that a lifetime of experience makes you ashamed of but there's still pockets of people all over the north who would think nothing of it on a daily basis.

re: Closing Costs on a Home

Following. When we bought our house after the collapse of the market we knew the owner and just did it through a lawyer. The money we saved by not going through a broker was split between us and the seller. Our biggest cost was the title insurance and all of the due diligence stuff. Even coming out of the collapse it was still much easier to do than I expected it to be.

We're in the process of deciding whether to renovate our house or do an "as-is" sale and buy/build a ranch style house. The kids are grown so I'd rather spend money downsizing/upgrading. We're using an inheritance from my wife's side of the family so I'm defering to what she wants. It'll be all cash either way.
I need to start watching the local news again. (I use a GPS Spoofer to stream Chicago's locals.) For those that don't know, this is roughly an hour NNW of the Chicago suburbs. Most of that "doubling" of population comes from Illinois. It's full of upper middle-upper class vacationers who don't want to drive up to Door County and think the Dells is trashy.

The waves up there are no joke. I grew up driving charter fishing boats out onto Lake Michigan during the summer. When we didn't have paid charters I'd drive the boat wide open until we got close to our fishing spot. The captain was an ex-nuclear sub captain and I got my arse kicked for treating it like a speed boat going into 10' waves a time or two. Never did it again. Unlike my dumb arse, these people did nearly everything right yet tragedy still found them. I do wonder why they couldn't get to safe harbor/refugee or at a minimum have the kids ready to abandon ship when it got rough. It sounds like they put them down under the bow and they got trapped there. They had life jackets on and their chances would've been better up top. You can take comfort that having such a horrible combination of factors aligned means that they are now with God.

until the Goal Keeper and Ream went full retard.
The second and last goals of theirs had some bit of skill. The first happened when we decided to become spectators instead of compete and the third was the goalie going full retard. I'm just glad there was some skill behind those two goals.

Ream didn't do shite. I don't know why he played all 90 minutes.
